Has Macron actually done this because I'm sure BAE own some European defence companies.

I'm pretty sure that the proposal is for the EU to only buy from companies within the EU. This excludes US, UK and Turkish companies. I don't know which companies specifically though.

It would make sense. We all have specialized things we could could share and joint fund. Would like to see Turkey included for their drone expertise.
