Champions Cup 24/25 - Semi Finals - 3 & 4 May

Please no to Owen Farrell. With the season he's had, how is he even in the conversation?
His dad being the one who makes the decision?

It make it the make or break decison that would win if the Aussies win the Lions he won’t be in charge for 2029.

Never.

Also to all the Saints fans here, well done and if any of you want to meet for a beer in Cardiff let me know.

Proper rugby club, we're a non emotional feeder to the NT and as much as I've been told that, it took the most balls to the wall performance to realise.

I'll be with you all the way in a few weeks.
Didn't think we had much hope. It must be bloody infuriating to be a Leinster fan. Still well played and one of the great games.

Would love to catch up but given I thought you boys were nailed on, I'm abroad on finals day ffs.

It should but f he does take him nobody will believe he was truly objective. Meanwhile if he was left out nobody would think it was particularly harsh.
That's my point, he's been struggling to get a start at Racing through injuries and bad/past it form almost all season. There's nothing to suggest he merits a spot.

Meanwhile Ford will still be left at home and there's a genuine hint that Russell will be on a beach somewhere with Sexton now in the coaching mix. Selecting Farrell over either would be bonkers.

That is an absolutely incredible result from Saints, well done. Added bonus is that makes me feel better about last week's premiership round. 😁

Hard luck Leinster fans, must be tough but you have a lot of other things going for you. I will say the madness of not taking a gimmie 3 points to tie the game up with a few minutes remaining after the way the match had gone was a particularly wild decision. Who made it?

Great game, one that will go down in history with Northampton fans.

Not to take anything away from Northampton as the best team won. But can't help but think Leinster resting their front line players in the URC defeat against Scarlets (and their general approach to the domestic league) is continually proven to hamper them.

That should but to bed any notion of Prendergast going on the Lion's tour, he's not ready. He and Finn Smith are the same age and latter's game managment is far superior IMO.

Suppose for all B&I teams post 6N it's a chance for players to put themselves in the shop window. Pollock was >JVDV, I'd argue the same for Mitchell over JGP. Tommy Freeman is having some season. The whole Northampton tight 5 and sub fronted up incredibly well. As Freeman said post match if they can get their game on the pitch they're capable of beating anyone. Actually felt they made it difficult for themselves at times with unforced errors and indiscipline.

So the biggest loser today was Jac Morgan really. JVDF was our vest player and Pollock bettered him. No way both don't tour.

Anyway, we're at a trough in Irish rugby, it won't last but could be a bad 12 months.

Get Cheika into Leinster and stop making progression from school level through to the national team like working your way through a top 4 firm and these days might become less frequent.

I'm absolutely sickened, all the criticisms I've argued against that were put on Leinster (salary aside, look at France lads) were justified today.

My new theory is that Leinster has too many national team players. The few imports and those not in the international set up can’t gel with all the national teamers. The internationals have less pressure for spots so they somehow have less dog in them than when they wear a green shirt.
