It's because more often than not, especially the hardcore MAGA, they do not live in reality. Saying you don't listen to MAGA, in my opinion, is akin to not listening to flat earth theorists. When they want to live in reality and deal with facts (and there are some of them that do) then I will listen.

According to you they don't live in reality, but write them off and they will vote en masse for... oh that's right they did. Whether they live in reality or not, they just chose the leader of the free world, who is dealing with Russia, Ukraine, Isreal, Iran, India Pakistan, Nato, global trade etc...

These things effect you, so start taking them seriously, abusing, insulting and radicalising them further only leads to Trump being 48, or something even worse down the pipeline.

So I personally will go and see what they are saying, and get into arguments fact checking stupidity, I'll get called a communist, a lefty, and get called names at times, but i will save their souls and open their eyes to the lies...

I don’t mind when he’s being honest but when he’s in his contrarian/arguing for the sake of arguing mood then it’s less enjoyable.

The exact same way as here, when they make the assertion, I take apart the stupidity of the 'evidence' they provide. One person sent me a link to a Steven Crowder rant about it, and I don't mind admitting I had a field day taking that rant apart, bit by bit and educating him on primary and secondary sources.

While I can acknowledge some elements of his arguments was valid, and I had the same emotions from leaving watching the live coverage at like 5am, to waking up later to see that stark contrast in Trump being in control and the election over, to a Biden victory felt odd, but when broken down made more sense.

Granted he called me a commie lib tard and then other posters mocked that I mis spelt something for a few days, but noone gets convinced into logic after 1 argument. It takes months of work.

Firstly, I don't think we do agree on Isreal (though we may on some things) and we definitely don't agree on most rugby related stuff. lol.

I honestly don't mean that, I like conversing with people with different views as long as their honest about their views and not just wanting to get into an argument for arguments sake and end up debating points they don't even really believe. I think you do this sometimes.

I have had though 1 guy whonis an absolute sweetheart who we now chat regularly, who sometimes sends me links for my thoughts. I take this as he is rethinking what he's seeing, and looking for confirmation that his criticism is valid.

It's interesting, because you've seen the niaivity and ignorance in the Isreal arguments, but refuse to see them in the Trump equivalent, or you do and just want to avoid the dog piling on this thread that you see happen regularly to not only Trump supporters, but those who don't hate Trump in the right way lol.

I personally think this thread was more interesting with posters who supported Trump, its a shame thay won't return because of the treatment, I think youd agree with that.

Well you say thay, but a poster recently posted that LA protests were peaceful, only one car had been set alight and that was more likely by the police. That's not reality.

There have also been a LOT of unreal claims made here, you just don't see or want to counter them. In reality or not, is receive a lot less personal abuse and name calling amongst the MAGA, they tend to insult for an extreme political position i don't hold, posters here verbally insult, and will go hunt down things I've said on other threads, in an attempt to manipulate those comments to abuse.

On some threads I have seen dissenting voices, opposing opinions, but here the only 2 posters who offered a pro Turmp opinion were harassed out.

What I would say, is posters here seem more manipulated by sources they deem trustworthy, I keep seeing Huff post, Daily Beast links and I just can't help but laugh, whereas the MAGA seem more coerced by political characters, Crowder, Walsh, Shapiro, De Souza etc...

They deem that mainstream stream media have the illusion of credibility, but are constantly nefariously wrong, and you guys are manipulated sheep. Whereas you guys just call them uneducated and racist.

That's why I deem you all two sides of the same coin, you've picked a team and refuse to acknowledge when your team is wrong, or when their team is right.

Despite me defending some of Trumps actions as normal for the Presidency on here, or condemning some of his actions as out of the norm with them, both refuse to listen to reason. And I'm not being neutral, I dislike Trump, I just apparently don't hate him with enough vitriol for you guys lol

I think there's a world of difference between getting some facts wrong on an evolving story that's just broken compared to holding the opinion that an election was rigged YEARS after the fact. And even when evidence is shown to tje contrary the belief is still strong. If people on here want to still defend things that are demonstrably untrue then I will call that out if I can be arsed. I certainly don't care about what other people think of me with regards to any political views I have, I trust people on here to know me well enough to know I'm honest (most of the time) and try and engage in good faith with people I disagree with.
