No, what is dishonest is to ignore the 99% of the speech where he goes on and on about how the election was rigged, your country is being stolen and you need to fight like hell but instead focus on 1 line, the 2 seconds, where he says you need to march peacefully.

Let me put it this way, if you're in that crowd and you listen to the whole thing, what do you think you're going to take away from the speech, the 2 seconds where he says be peaceful or the 59mins of him saying the election is being stolen and to need to fight like hell to stop it.

He's what 80 years old, he rambles on incoherently at times, he loses track of his train of thought etc...

Im not claiming Trump is even innocent in Jan 6th, he should have taken a lot of responsibility, but as usual, too many people hyperbole, catastrophise, and flat out lie about the event, and Trump's base has grown since then.

Until I hear a valid reason for why millions MORE people voted for Trump, after an insurrection, from people on this thread, I have to keep my current theory, that lying about him emboldens him and his followers, and stops him from being held accountable.

Come on dude, saying it had a touch of Biden due to the fact they both ramble is pretty silly. I wouldn't say Trump lost his train of thought. That's ridiculous. Surely the content of their rambles are more important?

Millions of people voted Trump for the same reason people vote for any populist, they believe what they're selling. That doesn't make it true or right or anything like that.

If your point is the lefts strategy re Trump is not right then fine but deal with the things they've gotten wrong. You've already conceded that Trump was wrong in Jan 6th so it just seems petty, and more importantly irrelevant, to mention he did say "march peacefully" when he also said fight like hell and went on non stop about how the election was stolen.

It's not irrelevant though is it, when someone uses the words March peacefully, you can't then claim he said to fight and overturn the government lol. I didnt concede Trump was wrong in Jan 6th, because I was always aligned with the view Trump was wrong haha

But your missing both my points...

1. Why specifically did millions of people see the insurrection, who didnt vote for Trump, then decide to vote for him on 2024?! The populist argument doesn't hold water, because he would have appealed to those people in 2020. Trump hasn't changed stance on anything, hasn't softened his edges, and hasn't pivoted to appease the masses, he's been pretty consistent. Gice me your reasoning, because ive given you mine and you all freak put about it hahaha.

2. Including the word peaceful into a speech isn't irrelevant, and using that quote to people who only use specific quotes is perfectly legit and not petty at all. Someone claims Trump just said Fight like hell, so I contextualise that with peacefully protest. If they were honest I wouldnt have intervened at all hahaha

There is a correlation of bad and fake reporting, and Trump's popularity.

Trump's decision isn't as popular as he's pretending it is. Marjorie Taylor Green, his boot licker from the beginning of MAGA has spoken out against the bombing.
