A Political Thread pt. 2

Yeah another out spoken Rap group and they would have been just another out spoken group without all this ******** from the government who have only really insured that the group will get fame and money that it wouldn't have normally got.

Absolutely stupid

No sorry, wouldn't want my government selected by a load of middle class kids with a load of coke up their nostrils but this whole kneecap thing is ******* stupid
Would rather them vote in the Greens or the Liberals whatever party that lot votes for these days then the pensioners of Clacton and surrounds condemning Britain to rule by the bigoted likes of Farage.

Up coming group says outrageous things to garner attention and fame...

Surely that's a new thing!

Liam Og O'Hannaidh's (kneecap) charges have been dropped. Sense prevails.
Isn't this a separate thing? My understanding is he's still in court in August. This is for the "Kill you mp" comments.

From LBC - It has no bearing on the previous charge for a Terrorism Act offence, which will go to trial in August, the Met said.

Oh you're right read a poorly written article earlier. The circus continues.

Is anything happening to the death to the IDF guy? I to kind of think it’s a waste of time but interested to see if there’s any consistency to this.

He probably saw the Kneecap situation and thought it was a good strategy, I'd never heard of him until this weekend
I love hip hop and had never heard of them before all this. Though to be fair I don't think they are considered, or consider themselves to be, hip hop artists but I could be totally wrong on that and it's more a case of an old school hip hop head being out of touch with the kids these days

I like old school, East coast MFer! But as per my generation, the younger style hip hop is trash lol.

I didnt realise it was a duo lol, I'm assuming, if you name your duo on a Bob Dylan word play, that attention is more important than talent, and controversy equals exposure.

Seems to have worked thus far, and even if prosecuted and fined, whoncares in comparison to the benefits.

****, I’m going to have to chalk one up in the “reasons not to kill Dirty Harry” column. Along with being Welsh obviously. I think this has just tipped it in your favour…….for now.

Yeah it's definitely for exposure and not anything to do with opposing the actions of the Israeli government. Exposure. Imagine artists using their platform to put a message out. Ridiculous.
That’s fair actually. By the sounds of it the death to the IDF guy has been attending pro Palestinian protests since he was 15 so clearly it’s important to him.
