I genuinely think Bidens government were underplaying it to prepare a dossier in which to hide Democrat involvement and promote Republican involvement, and now Trump is doing the same.
No way was Biden protecting Trump, even if it meant sacrificing Democrats there are a number who would absolutely leak it, and see the Dems involvments as pawns given in a check mate situation.
