A Political Thread pt. 2

Well of course you feel that way. You have a below average IQ and don't understand trade offs in heavily regulated markets.

But it's okay, you won't be able to vote soon. Instead, you will continue to be ruled by Eton Boys.
Given standards of schooling if I lived in the US I'd be up there with Albert Einstein.

You bang on about Eton, whilst sucking up to Yale boy Vance. Yet you think we have low IQ's.

Standards of schooling lololol.

Here in the UK we are so smart, but cannot figure out how to actually improve our society.

That’s a 10/10 hot take.

I genuinely would love to meet you in person. Are you going to Twickers anytime soon?

Planning a trip to Scotland next year. I wonder if there will be any place to eat besides @General Melchett house.
All kidding aside if you got to Glasgow there's a great seafood restaurant think it's called the Crab Claw but will double check. Best scallops and Prawns I have ever eaten and they have their own crisp lager. Well worth a visit

Sorry Crab shack

Friend of mine lives in London, he attended the Notting Hill carnival and said it was absolutely carnage, rivalling last year.

Not that ive gone looking but havnt seen any news outside of how well its going.

Unfortunately not for the AI's. Done enough this year already.

If you are going to Edinburgh have a drink or eat in the Balmoral Hotel. It's the most famouse hotel in the city. It has a whisky bar with over 500 varieties. Worth a look but not cheap.

They did the CNN mostly peaceful meme while Minneapolis was burning to the ground.

It has always surprised me that in a country more religious than the UK.

There's more of an "i'm alright Jack' attitude and greed matters more.

Jesus would be very sad
That's just standard religious people cherry picking what they like.

If you take out the Christian looney stuff America was a country built on genocide and slavery with certain Europeans profiting off it greatly. Naturally the story they tell themselves, as we do with our own stories, will be things like the "pioneer spirit" and coming through great adversity. The "can do" American spirit is central to their identity and naturally, imo, they'll be a strong element of "well if you're not tough enough then that sounds like a you problem" in their culture.

I agree that you'd think being strongly religious would curb these more selfish instincts (which let's face it is in no way unique to Americans, this is human nature) but as I say, people will cherry pick what they want.

Having said all that how do you know Jesus would be sad? Jesus was a Jew and Trump said the Bible was his second favourite book and is sticking up for poor old Bibi so I imagine Jesus loves America and will come back donning the cap and everything. Big fan of crypto scams and stuff. The church love running those kind of scams as well. And noncing.

I'm sure I could knock you up a haggis butty followed by deep fried mars bar for dessert.

Hope you enjoy. Check out Ullapool if you get the chance - incredible scenery and has some great places to eat - check out google maps/tripadvisor.

The Balmoral is truly stunning inside - well worth shelling out a bit extra for the experience and great service.

My old fella worked there for a number of years. God rest him. Can't quite bring myself to go back yet. I will one day, I miss him and the mates rates.

I love the film Dogma. Everyone knows God's a woman. If she is a black gay woman I think America will self-implode.

I've yet to see any credible evidence she's not.

Always said the most beautiful parts of Scotland is around the Borders. Melrose, Jedburgh in the east and Castle Douglas and Kirkcudbright in the west. The road from Dumfries to Stranraer is one of the most beautiful drives in the UK.
