Place has good food and drink, plus attracts ex-pats from all over the city.

Small world. I stayed in Hotel Versey for a couple of weeks in 2023 and was a regular at Trader Joe's across the street. It's a nice area with Lincoln Park zoo nearby - those gorillas are impressive!

That Trader Joe's is where I shop as well.
There is a Scottish bar right by there called Duke of Perth that serves excellent food.

I read that as an aggressive place at first.

That's easy get them to wear a Rangers or Celtic top in the wrong part of Glasgow.

On a serious note Dunfermline has a lot of history. Was capital of Scotland once. Has lots of old monarchs buried in the Abbey including Robert the Bruce.
