A Political Thread pt. 2

I hate that i have to say it, but Vance wins this hands down...

******* **** bucket of a **** **** twat ***** scum baggery of a **** suck my **** you **** **** ****!!!!

Everything you need to know about **** Clegg:

"Part of the definitions of living in a free society is that you can say things that are offensive and other people violently disagree with,"

He called Vance a hypocrite...seams pretty accurate....point being Vance is complaining free speech is being rolled back when he does advocate free speech in his own country which he doesn't.

This is what Clegg said in Vance
Nick said he "cannot stand the rank hypocrisy" of senior right-wing American politicians "flying first class or by private jet over to the United Kingdom and declaring that somehow there is excessive censorship in the UK and then flying back to the US to basically intimidate and bully and cow their own opponents".

He said the behaviour of many in the Trump administration "is flagrantly contrary to American principles of free expression".

Asked if he included JD Vance among these figures, Sir Nick said: "That includes them all.

"I think it is an outrageous example of double standards."

Lets be honest it's nothing to do with free speech it's about being free to post things on a social media platform while hiding behind a keyboard. It's freedom from consequence they want not freedom of speech.

Agreed entirely.

"Its just words"

Yeah words are pretty powerful ****. Look at the Decleration of Independence (except you know Jefferson was a pretty atrocious slaver so didnt really belive half the **** he wrote)

Just words that they absolutely wouldn't say to someone's face. I think it was Mike Tyson who said something along the lines of "social media has made it far to easy for people to say dumb things without the threat of being smacked in the mouth"

Which ironically if he put it on twitter could possibly get him nicked for inciting violence.

Or would also make him a keyboard warrior.

It seems a stupid argument "You wouldn't say to my face". Probably not but most people wouldn't assault someone because they said something they don't like. That would make them a thug or an idiot maybe both.

Are you guys making the case against free speech?!

Of course he should, people who make the consequences vs legality argument and portray it on to others are generally not good faith, what they mean is, I want free speach for who I agree with!
Yeah, I must admit, my main thing about hate speech I dislike has been how religion is a protected class but I am concerned about the direction some of this is going to be honest. I'm not doom and gloom about it but there's potentially a bit of a slippery slope here.
