Your country is ****** tbh. It's the most disturbing video I have ever watched.
This country is a powder keg.
I do feel for his family and nobody deserves shooting over opinions.

Yeah, hard to imagine there won't be at least an attempted reciprocal attack - whole thing could easily spiralThis country is a powder keg.
I’m gonna ask one thing from you publicly, if people come in cheering over this or being sarcastic, I ask you please talk privately to that individual.Yeah, hard to imagine there won't be at least an attempted reciprocal attack - whole thing could easily spiral
Critical is not goodBeeb saying it's reported CK is in a critical condition. Amazed if true.
And Charlie Kirk just got assassinated.
My lord.
No it's not. But it means he has a chance.Critical is not good
That X post is from a far right outlet. Yes, the police arrested the shooter after he (a balding white man, my guess 40's or 50's) dropped to his knees on their command. But nothing about his political views has been officially released...as of yet.Take it they have caught the person if they are identifying them as a democrat?
Only to the rightIs it a huge story?
Are you the orange-utan? You're parroting exactly his lines. It is the single biggest story.
The networks are failing and get than less a million viewers. Why do you think MSNBC got spun off and CBS is ready to declare insolvency?
@Saintjay just showed how out of touch this board is. Looking at what CNN is covering and thinking you are informed is not only wrong, it's been wrong for at least 10 years. You are 10(!!) years behind.
According to CBS the person detained has been released. That X post is from a far right outlet. Yes, the police arrested the shooter after he (a balding white man, my guess 40's or 50's) dropped to his knees on their command. But nothing about his political views has been officially released...as of yet.
Of course it will, the right and the republicans will make sure if it.Multi-dimensional
1.) There is a clear disconnect between politicians reporting crime is down (stats!!) and people's lived experience. Part of this is manipulating statistics, and part of it is people knowing that crimes won't be investigated, so they don't report them.
2.) During and after COVID, American urban political leaders ceded public places to criminals and lunatics.
3.) Part of that secession was the George Floyd killing and the widespread "racial reckoning". This reckoning led to cashless bail and slaps on the wrist from judges/attorneys.
4.) Urban white people, specifically white women, were the leaders in this movement. They organized, funded, and voted for these changes.
5.) Crime spiked to multi-decade highs -- in Chicago, we almost got back up to 1,000 murders in a single year -- leading to a massive anti-crime push all over the country. Chicago, NYC, and San Francisco all elected tough-on-crime district attorneys in the last 2 years.
6.) After taking a big fat L on crime reform, these same white women went all-in on the Ukrainian war. Flags, social media, yard signs, etc., popped up in the same neighborhoods that were awash in Black Lives Matter material.
7.) Basically, Ukraine became the "current thing" to get obsessed about for a select group of people. After Ukraine, they shifted to Trans Rights, and now that they have lost on that issue too, they are searching for the next thing.
8.) Trump wins, these people and their causes are universally rejected, but while murders are down from the 2020-2022 highs, carjackings, muggings, robberies, etc., are all still well above 2010-2019 numbers.
9.) Now, enter a young Ukrainian refugee seeking safety in America as her country is destroyed.
10.) She is subsequently killed in cold blood by a black man who is a career violent criminal (arrested 14x) and was given dozens of chances due to those post-2020 criminal justice changes. His own mother asked why the judge didn't put him in jail after she pleaded that he was diagnosed with schizophrenia.
So we have Ukraine, refugees, post-George Floyd failed criminal justice reform, another clear example of how public places are dangerous, and Trump's recent push to improve crime in urban areas. It's basically all these major flashpoint issues boiled down to a single video. If you haven't watched it and have a strong stomach, it's a tough, tough thing to see.
I will bet $10,000 that this story not only doesn't go away, but it will remain a leading story for months and play heavily in the 2026 midterms.

According to CBS the person detained has been released.
Also that Kirk has died.
Horrible situation who knows where this leads now.
Correction: The shooter fired from long distance and is on the lose. He has not been arrested yet. Several media outlets got this wrong. That was someone else at the event that the police pushed to his knees and detained. Yes, Charlie Kirk has been pronounced dead at the hospital there in Utah. - This info. is from ABC radio news about 20 minutes ago. That X post is from a far right outlet. Yes, the police arrested the shooter after he (a balding white man, my guess 40's or 50's) dropped to his knees on their command. Simple answer, gunsWhy is it so high? We get upset if London breaks 130 a year and it's by far a bigger city. Manchester similar size maybe 30 - 40 per year i think.
Yes indeed. It seems like there's no middle ground anymore. I'm old enough to remember when Democrats and Republicans actually worked across the aisle instead of fighting all the time. Now it's mostly Us vs Them. Crazy times.hugely shocking and sad for his family
mad how there seems to be so many people on both sides that are determined to make thing worse
