What games are you playing?

Excited for skate. From what I can tell it seems that is as realistic as you want it to be. I’ve been playing session which is an ultra sim and it’s just too hard. Don’t have the time to put in the work to be decent at it.

Did anyone try the Tony Hawk remasters? I have the 1+2 one but haven't sat down to put in a session yet.
Yeah, both excellent

They did change the latest one to remove the open world aspect and put all the missions into a timed run, like the older games, but still very good

Saw Tony Hawks posted a tiktok the other day of him super imposed into the Tony Hawk Underground opening cut scenes, so really hoping that's teasing remasters for them - THUG is my favourite out of all TH games

both were very good. I hope at some point they do a proper thps4 but I didn’t mind this release. Kept lots of the same goals and I was able to finish it in a lot less time. The addition of the pro goals was a great choice.

Even if you only have 15 minutes you can have lots of fun.

1+2 has more of the songs than 3+4

just saw this and if there isn't a thug remake it's such a dick more on his part

recently finished the tomb raider game from 2013, was fun and will play the sequel when it goes on discount, some very graphic cut scenes which was a surprise

have moved onto emulating Zelda: Twilight Princess, i know i played it back when i lauched....but i have almost no memory of it, its weird but great fun as its effectively a new zelda game

Sadly they became the law of finishing returns. Fell for the issue of making the world more open failing to understand what made the original reboot so good.

Im curre try playing Detroit: Become Human again. Its fine but interesting to seeing what Im doing diffrent this time.

I don't know what changed but I used to really enjoy Grand Strategy and RTS, now I really don't have the patience for them. I guess there must be some "lite" versions, particularly on consoles but I have yet to see anything that grabs me.

Any recommendations?

Side note; Bo Sorcerer boss on Wuchang was a proper pain. Apparently I have failed a summons quest somewhere (very easy to fail quests in this game) so had to do it solo. Got it the boss done earlier, my better half walked in just as I was popping off with both fists in the air. 🥳 Less than enthusiastic, "You did it, then?" with a look 😳😄

Well if you played a lot in the past and you end up looking for some nostalgia, this is currently on sale - £6.80 for all (?) the C&C games

Not sure there anything that scratches the same itch though. I've tried many times to get into grand strategies (both EU IV and CK 3) - I just don't have the time for it nowadays. I had a better go at Stellaris - but I can't go again after one big game. I always tend to keep coming back to some AoE 2 (or the sequels/mythology)

If it is a lite version that is less focused on the combat side of things - I did get some good fun out of Against the Storm. 9 Kings has also looked kinda interesting as a lite version - but is more of a roguelite tbh.

Isn't that collection the old collection? Ie not the remaster?

I've got back into Dawn of War with the re-release. Kinda hoped they'd add a bit more to the game and I'm sure they've mucked around with the key bindings (my muscle memory keeps wanting me to press T to join a hero to a squad rather than C).

One strategy game I found very easy to sink hours into is empires of the undergrowth, you control a colony of ants. Also Rimworld used to be my more relaxed game of choice.

Dawn of War is awesome, especially Winter assault.

I also like Space Marine. Haven't played Space Marine 2 yet.

It is, but I think includes more of the games - is the remaster all of them or limited to C&C/ Red Alert? Their Steam page is a bit vague in terms of exactly what is included in there.

Dawn of War was a great one - glad they've remastered the right game. I was always disappointed with the direction that series took after the first one.

Tbh I didn't mind 2, although it was excessively shiny on release as it was the era of bloom in games. 3 I didn't touch, front flipping Gabriel Angelos in terminator armour put me right off

4 looks like it could be decent, although I had hoped they would move towards even larger scale

I didn't like how they moved away from a single story after Winter Assault

Finished Metal Gear Solid Delta, can't say it was worth full price considering it is just the original game with vastly updated graphics and many many quality of life improvements. Would of much preferred a more open world version of the game. Especially for the jungle and the base.

Back to Star Wars Outlaws which is Ubisoft game I'm actually enjoying. But reality is I'm biding time to Ghost of Yotei

(FFT and Bloodlines 2 also on my radar)
