BBC News - Business concerns as Abingdon reservoir consultation ends - BBC News

This is why we can't build anything significant in this country to time or budget. Any time anything is proposed "concerned local residents" come out to oppose it and constantly complain no matter how much consultation is done, and the media then amplifies these voices to drum up opposition for everything we try to build.

So it appears the UK are about to ramp up its pressure on Russias shadow fleet, and have identified legal reasons tonallow them to do so...

The US have now taken 5 or 6 ships, and the UK (and rumour has it other european nations) is about to follow their lead...

This is a serious ramping of tensions with Russia if the UK is now putting boots on Russian ships, and with Starmers tepid responses to Trumps actions, like ive said previously, its starting to look more and more like Starmer has some sort of inside knowledge of the strategy against Russia.

Can't see him saying yes. It'll go down like a bucket of sick with some.

It's the balancing act of trying to remain significant and in Trumps good books whilst trying to mitigate the appearance of siding with his generally reprehensible attitude.

It's lose lose. Join and he's framed as siding with Trump as a weedy sidekick, refuse and he's portrayed as insignificant and potentially damaging in relations with the USA. Can't see how he navigates it without it being negative.

Loved the old Neath black jerseys

The Neath Maltese cross is nicer than the Saints, St James based cross. I'll give you that.
Still got an old one from the 80s. In the rare occasions I’ve worn it out I get the odd funny look here and there.

Mind you, I should probably stop goose stepping with my right arm in the air when I’m wearing it in town.

Such an easily avoidable mess - there's so much evidence that they could've pointed to as to why they didn't want The Maccabees (or whatever the team is called) fans to come to Birmingham, there was absolutely no need to lie/falsify/exaggerate things

It seems Guidlford isngoing to struggle to keep his job, the West Midlands Police claim about Maccabi fan violence in Netherlends was countered by Dutch police, and when the fact that there were 2 threats of violence, sprcifically from 'vigilante groups' of armed violence towards Jews visiting the city came out, Guildford was asked why this was not disclised to the public, or at the first hearing, his response was 'well this is the first time you soecifically asked about it'.

Do police heads learn nothing, and does 'without fear or favour'mean nothing anymore?!

First it was violence in Netherlends, Dutch police said no. Then it was aAI searched, but definately not AI, and staffer google searching, a West ham match. Then when questioned about the threat TO not FROM Maccabi fans, he claimed there were no direct questions asked of him about that lol

Deserves to go, but im not sure this is the time to be talking about Mahmood increasing the power of the position to be able to sack a police chief.
