I honestly didn’t mean that as a jab. I’m sure all countries have their casual fans and rugby especially have a lot of “fans” who just watch internationals.
I know :)

Tbh most England fans would struggle to tell you who plays for what club. Same as many of the Welsh fans I know. Most don't follow the club game.

Back on topic going to start S2 of Andor and The Last of Us part 2. Guessing by reviews one is going to be better than the other.

The Last of Us season 2 I enjoyed and will be back for season 3 though characters looked very clean for people who'd riden around on horseback for months in the post-apocalypse

I'm 5 episodes into the final season of The Boys (timing it so I watch the finale on the day it releases to avoid spoilers) and I'm really liking it - don't get the internet reaction to it at all, people comparing it to the final season of Game of Thrones etc.

It's not a masterpiece or anything but it's a solid continuation of the rest of the show, if you liked that you'll like this (imo)

Same. I’m enjoying it enough. I don’t see how you can love the others and hate this. I can see maybe it’s getting a bit tired now but I don’t think quality has dropped that much.

I'm a couple of episodes behind you, but same for me, really enjoying it!

Looks like we got 1 point in Eurovision

Watching "From" season 4,love it 😍much better than season 3 (except the ending of S3 which was brilliant). Can't wait for next series😫
Another one, recently watched, was "Yellowjackets",all the three available seasons.. really impressive, highly recommend. The plot is not that original (surviving after a plane crash, cannibalism,a lot of references to the Lord of the Flies and Lost etc) but its' realisation is amazing, keeps in tension during all the seasons.

I think you know what you’re getting with The Boys…….and I’ve enjoyed all of the series. Sorry to see it end this week but I’m looking forward to seeing how they actually end things.
I have to say that Anthony Starr was also in one of my absolute favourite series…Banshee. Really enjoyed that show.

Just watched episode 5, and as a fan of Supernatural, I loved seeing the Winchesters and Cas in the same room again.
What?? "Supernatural" actors in this serial? I was a fan of Supernatural as well but haven't seen "The Boys" (although pretty a lot of people recommended me it,but judging by description, I was thinking that this serial is rather not for me). Now started to think to watch it hmm 😍

Jensen Ackles is in seasons 3, 4 and 5 and the other guy (whose name I forgot) has a cameo in an episode of 5 - I've not seen supernatural but I imagine JA's character in The Boys is.....slightly different!

Supernatural is brilliant for 5 seasons then a mess because it was so popular I get told it gets better again and season 8 but I always end up stopping season 6/7.

(Up to the end of Season 5 they had a very specific plot that everything was working up to a conclusion with)

Yeah I remember it being hhuuggee in the Tumblr days, I think there were already so many seasons of it by that point, though, that I just never attempted it (same reason I've never watched One Piece, despite everyone saying it's one of the best anime ever)

Yeah, I also always remember Jensen's name but forget "Sam Winchester" (had to Google now that it's Jared Padalecki :D).

Absolutely agree! Started to watch it when I was 15 years old and became a huuge fan,but then...started to watch less after season 5,then was studying at university and didn't have enough of time to watch, then was mowing to another country and couldn't really follow it..and finally when I was watching new series back then, I got that I simply couldn't understand anymore what was going on ,so just stopped watching it at all(((
But first seasons were soooo good and Jensen Ackles was my big love back then (or rather Dean Winchester) 🤣
Had a similar story with "Lost" that I also loved... first two seasons were brilliant and then serie by serie I stopped watching it. But finally re-watched all the 6 seasons a couple of years ago because was curious how did they end the story.
As for "Supernatural", it would have been great if they'd stop it at season five, then maybe a serie of films in cinema in a couple of years, and now they could do a new season to "celebrate" 20 years of the serial.

Noooo Yulia, Jensen Ackles is mine 😂
Jared Padalecki and Misha Collins were in this series of The Boys as well as Jeffrey Dean Morgan, who was in a previous series.
I really enjoyed Supernatural for a few series too.

I managed to keep watching supernatural, and other than a couple of small dips, it really was consistently great imo. Just checking the average season ratings on imdb, and season 5 comes out top, but they're consistently well into the 8/10 throughout, not a bad feat for a show lasting 15 seasons!

Some of my favourite individual episodes ever have been supernatural episodes, some absolute bangers in there! It's been over a decade since watching most of it though, so maybe time for another watch soon!

I decided to rewatch it now "slowly" tbh (to watch starting from the beginning but from time to time). I have a list of my favourite serials that I rewatch sometimes but they have 2-4 seasons maximum, not sure if I last long with Supernatural...will try and see!

Not that far in but Widows Bay on Apple is class slow burn horror (/comedy). Will not be for everyone but I am really enjoying it. Takes three episodes to get scary but it’s definitely atmospheric.

For All Mankind
I know it's just finished it's 5th (and final?) season, but I've just finished the 2nd

1st season was brilliant
2nd season was much more... soap opera... and more bits that needed more suspension of disbelief - if you're having a 10 year tie jump, and using the same actors, please age them up. Don't **** the kid you were baby sitting just a few episodes ago, who was your own kid's best friend. I can buy the handwave for the nuclear shuttle reaching the moon - but the Challenger/Discovery era shuttles (without shit-tonnes of planning and multiple refuels in orbit around both Earth and Moon)?
The soap opera bits just weren't necessary, and for me, took it away from being hard sci-fi - more being unbelievable in a much more human way - even if some of it was necessary for the "WWIII averted at the last minute" ending.

Star City
Looks like being the same story, from the Russian side (with presumably, painful Russian "accent"s - though picking non-American actors is a bit more reassuring here*).
Not sure if it's safe to jump into yet, given where I am in the "main" series.
Hopefully it'll go into why Ed's kidnap of Mikhail didn't seem to kickstart a potential WWIII itself.

ETA:
I think I'll leave it to finish the season to be safe - and see how much progress I can make in the main series before then

* or of course, just not pretending to have Russian accents - which is probably more respectful than butchering it
