Brian Noble (former Crusaders RL coach) has said he could be the next Ospreys coach.
Bit of a change, from 16 players to 13!

It's simple: A league coach comes in and every player chucks the ball about aimlessly and relies completely on blitz defence and no forwards play.

Was a fair tactic 7 years ago, but now everyone has it sussed.

Will Nugget go to New Zealand or will Wales leave him off

I am 99% sure he will be going. He is still one of the best opensides in the game and offers a different style of play than Sam. Josh Navidi (also with the Blues) and Justin Tipuric (with the partyboys... allegedly) play in a similar style to Nugget. Our loosies going down to NZ should be: Sam, Dan, Ryan, Nugget and probably JT (:().

Anyone know any more new on Martin Williams to wasps??? or any other wasps news for that matter? must be people coming in with all apparently leaving

Sale have seemingly signed Vadim Cobalas. Who's he I hear you ask. Apparently he's a Moldovan international tighthead who was playing for a club in Russia. It's probable that he's significantly better than Tony Buckle(y).

Aye, just read that
18month contract starting from next week,

Begs the questions: What the happened to Karena Wihongi? Disappeared off of the face of the earth about a month ago, maybe longer - isn't on the injured list or anything, and seems like this guy is signed as a replacement.

Google translation from a Moldavan news site:
Moldovan rugby has given the biggest blow to the local image in the sport start of this year! Moldova's national team player, Vadim Cobâlaş designated Moldovan best rugby player of 2009 and 2010, managed the most important transfer from domestic rugby history.

Pillar on the right will take a year and a half shirt team "His Sharks" and will play in one of the hottest rugby league in the world.

Cobâla's transfer can be equated with the transfer of Alexander Epureanu to "Chelsea, FC Barcelona or Liverpool."

Jurnal Cobâla; told that "It was a dream to reach the Premier."

Cobâla's first match of the "Sharks" can be at the March 25, when "His" will meet the band "Leeds' Carnegie in" Aviva Premiership rugby. "

I'm happy enough, as long as he can hold his own.
Good to see players from less prominent rugby nations getting noticed, can only be good for the sport in that country (they certainly seem happy in the above article)

WTF???? when was this said??? thats quite cool, although to my knowledge i don't think Noble has coached union (remember reading he'd like to). Agree with Bullit, we've achieved next to nothing, so whats to loose. At least hes British i guess :D

Chris Jones to Worcester is a done deal according to some journalist on Twitter

Chris Bell to Wasps was confirmed today http://www.wasps.co.uk/news/wasps32205.ink - Which is s**t as him and Tonetti are a good centre partnership, and given more time playing together were only going to get better

Apparently Sale are announcing four signings (including the Moldovan prop) and several re-signings from Tuesday onwards

Presume you mean 15

Noble could be quite good for the Ospreys as an attack coach / defence coach but as an overall head coach I don't think he will work. He made the Crusaders into a decent RL outfit last season. Still adamant that Paul Turner would be the man they want in there, his track record of bringing youth through is second to none.

Anyone remember what happened to Saracens under Steve Diamond - Huge monster pack but nobody to chuck the ball around. Very solid but didn't win much. (Without Castagne things would have been much worse)

Utter ******** he's let go of Cohen and now Bell. Tait was neither here nor there and Hodgson had already signed away, but at least he had a capable backs division to work behind his new pack with them pair.

Mid table for Sale next season (if they're lucky) I think.

I presume he meant from 13 to 16 players, i.e the Lee Byrne fiasco last year.

At least Noble is a proven coach. That is in Rugby bLeague though, and I'm not sure it's the kind of coach they should be going for. They need a tried and tested coach who will suit the Ospreys playing style, not taking a gamble that Noble will do a good job.

Agree with Cymro to some extents that Paul Turner would be good. Doubt he'd put up with the kind of crap the Ospreys players have been up to lately. Not sure he's all that inspiring though, he can barely muster a smile after a win! Replace Andrew Hore, Scott Johnson and Holley with someone like Paul Turner and retain Humphreys as forwards coach. It's what I'd do, because at the moment I have no idea who's in charge there, and I'm not really sure any of them do either!

Big transition period at Sale but Olyy who'll be at 10 next season

Presuming they're trying to sign someone to take the reigns,
If not Rob Miller (though he's pretty young and doesn't have a whole lot of experience - the majority of which has been filling in at fullback recently) or Nick MacLeod who isn't really a flyhalf, is a jack-of-all-trades guy - perfect for the bench but wouldn't be many peoples first choice 10

Would Kyle Tonetti be in the frame at 10, even as a backup? It's where he played most of his rugby in school before transitioning to 12 so Ireland and Leinster's age group teams could accomodate both he and Ian Keatley.
