Yeah, I don't like it when they go back after awarding it... but, well, what are you meant to do if you see it?

Thoughts after thirty minutes

Marler is getting seperated from Youngs in the scrum and we are getting into difficulty. That's what I'm seeing. That's a big big issue.
Re not creating space for our wingers - have England attacked with depth yet? I'm not sure we have.
Great to see Fiji back into it.

I'll take a try every ten minutes for entertainment.

That was a cracking crossfield but why is our scrum so **** all of a sudden? Last few years it's been pretty good.
Is kruis good in the scrum? Feel like we're focusing on loose play (lawes) and lineout (parling) with no thought to the engine room

I know the TMO got it right for the halfback try, at the end of the day... But I can honestly see this home media player being extremely select on what match media is shown to the crowd.....

There's no way on earth it's selective to show a replay of the try.

"Was that a forward pass?"

"No. Fiji were offside"

Well, idiot. The reason they get to take the penalty was because they made a forward pass while having a penalty advantage... Maybe they should hire some guys who actually know the sport to do the live commentary?

England started well but it really is a stupid plan to play open rugby at this time of the game! Get back to basics and take advantage later!

Wonder what the talking will be about during half time <_<

Do not agree! They have taken their chances despite a very iffy performance but Fiji have offered little and been, as usual, very indisciplined.....yes, even more than England!

RTL7 rugby drinking game.

Drink everytime:

- A basic rule is explained
- They compare rugby positions to football positions
- They mention Tim Visser, Jonny Wilkinson or Jonah Lomu
- They talk about Nelson Mandela and the 1995 World Cup

The worst refereeing in a long time, is he stupid , blind or under orders to by gentle on England and/or hard on Fiji.
That last penalty was never, if anything it should have gone the other way for holding on.

Did that last kick go over? Wasn't paying attention. Anyway, never should have been a penalty for England, should have gone the other way - May didn't let go. I remember Raggs expressing doubt about our ability to keep up with our wings, happened then.

May's been England's best player of the half for my money. He adds so much to the kickchase - in general we're much better there. Which is just as well as our kicking from open play is bobbins.

Quite a few players really struggling to get into the game for us. Still, this is basically the final warm up, two tries up, I'll take it.

Wood's been at his best for a while.

Well, if this was anyone other than Jaco Peyper, I'd be surprised... But hey, he has been doing this crap for years in the Currie Cup and Super Rugby competitions.

England are dire, forcing passes, nobody challenging the gain line, SO slow to the breakdown and the scrum is terrible again. Nothing in this performance will worry Australia or Wales. This is France all over again, the forward are refusing to do their damn jobs!

If the refs gives it then it should stand
Really? Man if this was the world cup final and the game rested on a call like that - would you want the game to be decided by a massive error? Now way man. I;m gutted for Fiji on that one but there is no way that try should have stood.

It's a pretty average game so far. Fiji would be right in it if they hadn't of got what appeared like stage fright at the start. Some terrible errors which led to many of the first 15 points. Not impressed with England either although a couple backline moves have looked decent. I'd be concerned about the forwards though, they really should be doing better.

As for the refereeing? There's always going to mistakes in Rugby so although he is not having a great game, I wouldn't be too concerned. Its the quality of play by each team that should be the real concern.

Wilko and Sir Clive do not know the rules!! The try is not a try until the kick has been taken where the TMO or the ref call for a replay! Get over it!!
