Damn.... thats not the best draw for the Force considering the Kiwis are resting players early.

Dream draw for the Crusaders

Dream Draw for the Crusaders????

I don't think so!

The Saffies are always hard to beat at home, they just don't travel well, and the Crusaders will have to face them without Dan & Ritchie.

[/b]

Lets take a look then shall we....

(Remember the first 7 weeks they'll be without 7 of their starting 15)

week 1 v Blues - who will also be without a few key players

week 2 v Reds at home - had this been an away match they would have almost certainly lost - at home winnable

week 3 v Cats - the worst side in the comp

week 4 v Cheetas - the side that gave us(force) our only win last year

week 5 v Sharks - ok, not such an easy game but id rather be playing them than the Bulls @ loftus

week 6 BYE - handy

week 7 v Bulls @ home - one of the worst traveling sides

So even without a number of key players, the first 7 rounds are all very winnable(except for maybe the Sharks game). Then they get their star players back(rested) just in time to face the top sides.

Would you have rather played the Waratahs,Brumbies,Hurricanes,Force,Reds(away),Bulls(away),Cheifs or the Highlanders instead?...... i think not..... without Carter,McCaw,Mauger,MacDonald,Jack,Thorne and Somerville i wouldn't have given them much chance to win any of those games.

It's a great draw for the Crusaders

yeah i like the draw for the crusaders, i think it at least gives them a chance to backup thier ***le. it would be disapointing if we lost all 6 games and come out and win the last 7 and miss the play offs because we didnt have our best players available.

it gives us a chance, and one i feel is well deserved.

and it also gives the other franchises around the compeition a chance as well. but i don tlike the decision from the super 14 point of view but i understand from an all black fan :)

So the Stormers only gets a go at the Crusaders with all of their 1st-choice players back and well rested, while it`s our 2nd trans-Tasman trip and 5th week on the road. We cop the "Big 5" week tour- and only get 2 NZ sides away while their top players are being rested. Plus, we get the Brumbies away also- I reckon if anyone actually tried, they couldn`t make a worse draw for the Stormers.

See, I got my gripe in early, before the tournament kicks off. Now no-one can say that all of us Stormers fans starts every year off thinking that we can realistically claim the ***le.......

id say thats the best chance to get the crusaders, mainly because there will be no proven combinations.
