[2015 RWC] Quarter Final 2: New Zealand vs. France (17/10/2015)

If (and I do mean *if*) the French are playing mind games then the ABs should do as well and use the haka as the last say in the lead up to kick off. If they can do exactly this they will turn the French off for sure;

It needs to be exactly that though. I just can't see the ABs managing to pull it off again.

This is genuinely embarrassing to watch. If you didnt know who the ABs were youd be like "Who are these clowns and what are they doing?"

ha, we had ballsy players back then, idk if the soldiers of saint andre will dare to do so.

How many player are still in the team since that game in 07, obviously dusatoir - I think he should tell the lads let's front up to this haka and take the challenge like in 2007 it might spur them on

hey might be a long shot but I have 4 qf2 tickets available CATC. If anyone is interested?

All the chit chat will be over tomorrow night as the two teams take to the park and fight out what will be a hard fought affair.

i suggest France do a Bourrée Auvergnate before each game, to insist on our heritage.

Ahah I am french from new caledonia and I had never seen nor heard of that dance before. In new cal "Bourrée" means something completely different and I am not sure I could explain the meaning on those boards, due to the explicit nature of the word heh heh.

Some French players refered to their response to the Haka as "packaging", I'm sure that it's something they're not focused on. It's been said many times that the French players came up with both their 2007 and 2011 response roght before the game in the locker room.

their 2007 response must have been thought off well before the dressing room. they wore the tri colours.

French reports that the players would have taken over, annoyed by PSA's "lack of charisma" and Blanco's "omnipresence in team matters".
Parra back into the starting line-up being the sign that the reigns have been handed back to the players.
...

edit: glad that my 200th post serves to announce these uplifting news!

Not sure if we can take this article too seriously. It says " tongues are being loosened ... rumours ... a player 's close friend said ... ".
The same old stories when results aren't there ...

And so ? Dusautoir captain-coach ? maybe not a bad idea !

This article is media spin journos looking for a story

our boys have long booked their tickets home

'All our bags are packed
We're ready to go
We're standin' here outside the coach's door
We enjoyed waking him up to say goodbye
But the dawn is breaking it's early morn
We've run out of late TV porn
And the coach is sure breaking our balls
The bus' waitin' he's blowing his horn

Cause we're leavin' on a jet plane
Don't want to be back again
Oh Philippe, we want you go

There's so many times we've let you down
So many games you've p***** around
We tell you now, we did mean every thing
Every place we go, we'll sink 4 you
Every anthem we sing, it won't be 4 u
...'

We will need a lot of this magic potion ! But like Jean-Claude Duss would say : "who knows, if we don't bet it all on our physical ... let's forget we have any chance ... on a misunderstanding it can work !"

And according to some this gave/gives us an unfair advantage. To be fair though the opposing team probably couldn't concerntrate for the first half after watching that BS.

Getting pretty excited about the match. Not sure how I am going to be able to get back to sleep after the Wales SA game :)

I was pretty confident about this game a few days ago, but these French mind games are definaltey working on me. This whole coach overthrow thing has me a little concerned that they will come out men possesed! That being said, the ABs wont be as silly as me about it and will just be very focussed on the game at hand!

I filled out my fantasy teams with a 15-20 point All Black win in mind and I am gonna stick with that as my predcition.

I dont think the ABs will be as pollisied as they will hopefuly become as the tournament goes on, but I am pretty sure they will be up for this match and will just have too much structure and too much strike power for the French. If they can get up early then I think this could turn ugly for the French.

By the way, AB fans, who do you think would start on the wing in the semi if one of the starters went down? And if you think Naholo, who do you think they would bring into the squad?

Wouldn't be surprised to see Barrett at fullback and Smith on the wing, to be honest.

Can't wait for the game. Going to be a nervous wreck tomorrow morning though.
