I only saw the highlights but it makes me feel better about the Sunwolves's loss to the Rebels last week.

Far too early to say the Rebels might be competitive in the post season or even be an Oz side able to defeat a NZ for the first time in over a year.

Didn't see that result coming. Full credit to the Rebels who look like a different team this year.

That's because they are...

Melbourne Rebels rugby: When your Western Force second rower is unavailable so you bring in your Western Force second rower to play next to your Western Force second rower...

Seems like most of the pack is from the force!
yeah interesting to see the Rebels topping the table and the only undefeated team after 4 rounds.
But to be fair the Reds, Sunwoulves and Brumbies isn't the stiffest of competition. The real tests have yet to come. Brumbies not looking too great so far this season.

Brumbies have foraard depth. How that shows itself is as the season wears on and you wind up with players missing from squads due to injury. Not having to play two back rowers short after week 1.

They'll get better as the season goes on, at the moment they're just ruining their chances at finishing top 2 by seasons end. They'll pick up.

I like the way things are going so far. Sure, we've yet to play any NZ teams as people love to point out all the time, but the matches against fellow Aussie conference teams are especially important.
