Help Support The Rugby Forum:

Apart from @OllyM97 bless him I don’t think anyone gave a monkeys really (it is a rugby forum afterall)

I wanted Argentina to win as my tribalism will not allow me to wish sporting success on England.

However, Argentina and their fans were a borderline disgrace this WC.
Asshole. You gave enough of a monkeys by slandering me and calling me a "scumbag" for challenging the hypocrisy of England's soccer cultures self righteous attacks on Argentina.

Plus the fact that it's only mentioned in England because it's only really been studied in England. Ironically those who study and record problems because they want to solve them end up making it look like they are the ones who least want to solve it.

It's like countries claiming they are doing better in a disease outbreak than others because they stopped testing for it, therefore the number of confirmed cases drops.

As was mentioned elsewhere in a critique of this claim, normal people don't suddenly become domestic abusers because of an intense moment. It is a catalyst for those who are already abusers. There is no evidence that domestic abuse rates in England are that much worse than anywhere else, and our rates of reporting it are certainly a lot better than many other countries, so it's a completely dishonest and bad faith representation of what the statistics said.
England losing Football matches don't create new abusers. Yet the tsunami of calls recorded when England lose shows that there appears to be a relatively high proportion of domestic abusers amongst England's support.
Other nations publish statistics on DV. None have this specific issue. The denial and mental somersaults here show there is little chance of "normal" English supporters/men acknowledging the problem let alone fixing it.

What is it about English people that make them have this unique problem. Is it in their DNA? It’s inherent, right?

Yes, I give a monkeys about racism and bigotry.
Only as applies to Argentina. When issues around racism, bigotry and misogyny called out against English you couldn't give a monkeys. For Pointing out that English supporters beat up Italians in Wembley and called their own players "N ig**rs" you attack as "anti English" and a "scumbag".
I cant abide bigots. Youre an asshole.

Can you point to some examples in this WC? Still waiting. As I am for an England national team singing a racist song on a bus.

I said nothing about English people you dishonest strawmanning moron. We are talking about serious issues within England supporters which make the attacks on Argentinians utter hypocrisy.
You asshole.

Absolutely not, I cant. And i won't call anyone a "Scumbag" for calling it out.
Can you show me how England supporters who they beat the **** of opposition supporters when they lose and call their own black players "n i ** ers" then make the same accusations of Argentinians is anything other than disgusting hypocrisy?
Can you explain to me why people who call out Argentinian racism are ok but people who call out English racism are "scumbags"?

As has been said, from what I recall, the vast majority of these ONLINE posts were from abroad. That is not to excuse it, obviously, but it’s an important distinction.

Can you provide any sources on the Italians getting beat up?

As I’ve said before it’s, as with most things, it’s about levels. It’s also, naturally, more about the here and now but good that you have finally accepted you can’t point to any examples in this World Cup of England fans monkeu chanting or telling black people they’re from a zoo and to go back home.

Mind you, you are the guy who said the racist bus song wasn’t racist so….

The Falklands is on the Patagonian shelf and therefore part of the South American continent. They can't stand alone and their future is as a colony of the UK (formerly GB formerly Kingdom of England) or as a part of another SA country which would be Argentina.
Your hypocrisy statement is correct but only shows that the "penguin" argument is dishonest. Of true it means that every uninhabited land or island could belong to a colonial power as long as they were the first human there regardless of its geographical location.
The Falkland Islanders are no more British than Argentinians are Spanish or Italians. It is a colonial holding more related to resources i suspect.
The Falkland islanders are definitely British and they say so themselves.

You really are a pathetic piece of work. Yes other nations do have the same issue but you clearly have an anti English hatred and serious problems so clearly any attempt to reason with you is wasted. Onto the block list you go.

Maybe one day you'll get rid of that chip on your shoulder but I doubt it. Just another Anglophobe.

Go **** yourself

The reason that studies are done on domestic violence when England lose is as a result of 48% inflated communications to Domestic Violence helplines when England loses. You seem to be suggesting that similar tsumamis of distressed calls occur when other nations lose but that DV agencies on these countries are incompetent or uncaring?
I would suggest that your ignorant viewpoint is more a result of a lazy and uncaring need to whitewash the crimes of these England supporters.
Again England has a disgusting history of racism, xenophobia, hooliganism amongst its support. People with these traits tend to be misogynist too.
If you are pointing a finger at Argentina. Then point 3 at yourselves.
Yeah...no. I'm done. Not putting up with an arsehole troll any longer.

English people who utterred the racism were identified and fired from their places of work.
Documentation and videos of English thugs beating up Italian supporters while uttering vile abuse is easily accessible. This was only 2 years ago.
Does England supporters calling English players "nig**rs" and actually committing physical violence on innocent Italian supporters not reach your levels? You racist asshole.

Anglophobe? Says the asshole who made potato jokes about me in my first few days here because I was Irish.

Other nations supporters don't call their black players "Nig***s" (2024)
Other nations supporters dont beat up opposition fans in the stadium after a Euro final.
Other nations supporters don't have a decades long history of racist hooliganism which marred almost every major tournament.
Other nations supporters dont require DV warnings from police and DV orgs in case these violent xenophobes turn their fists against women when they lose.
Argentinas behaviour needs addressing. But lets not pretend England's rage is anything other than the usual angry reaction to loss this time when utterly deconstructed by Messi and Argentina in the last 30 last Wednesday week.
Too much for you to deal with? Run and hide snowflake.

Italy, Spain, France, most(/all?) of Eastern Europe, Israel, Paraguay, Brazil, Argentina...?

In other words your bullshit has been called out and you cant reply. Argentina beat you 8 days ago. Get over it. Like a grown up preferably.

From accounts which are not rugby supporters. These posts in Ireland are from a mixture of Irish, British and US sources. Not rugby supporters. If an actual rugby supporter said this they would be ostracized immediately.

The racist online abuse of black English players were by England supporters.
Italian fans were beaten up by English jersey wearing fans in attendance at Wembley stadium.

That's simply not true

May have had some violence associated with their national teams but none have marred even close to the amount of major tournaments England had with their hooliganism.
Ive been watching since 1982. Are you getting the point? The righteous attacks by England against Argentina are hypocrisy.
Its rage at losing.

From the investigation company -

In this case, there was the majority was actually coming from Irish accounts or from fans of the rugby team. There were actually quite a few based in the United States from the expat community, but there was a significant amount that was kind of homegrown and coming from accounts based in Ireland."

https://www.rte.ie/sport/rugby/2026...-abuse-mainly-came-from-irish-based-accounts/

No, actually, the majority came from overseas actually

No evidence that any of the abuse in the article I linked above was from overseas therefore, by your own logic, all Irish fans are racist
The same group of racists attacked Adeleke (she is 400m black olympic sprinter from west Dublin). They were not fans of track and field either.
You are sommersaulting to try and find something that contradicts the facts i outlaid. You cant so you are lying by claiming those racists were rugby supporters.

Definitely were Irish involved. Twitter abuse of this nature is primarily bots and bad faith actors (as I'm sure you know). The confidence it gives racists is the danger but these incidents aren't reflective of any fanbase and shouldn't be used for points scoring in a [pointless] debate like this.

And you are ignoring the fact the own investigation noted some of the abuse was from Irish rugby fans.

It's not a lie it's a fact some of the abuse was from Irish rugby fans.

Both countries have a problem with racism in sport and in general. Acknowledging the problem is always a good start.
