A Political Thread pt. 2

Sorry, my fault. I've stayed out of this thread because it's gotten so extreme. I'm not going to keep discussing things with when you completely ignore what I say.

Tbh, I'm fed up with this thread and so much focus on America. They voted for Trump, they made their bed. Unless it affects the rest of the world, I honestly don't care what they do over there.
I mean, I view the situation as a bit of a soap opera, it's the best way to deal with US politics currently, there are no honest contributors from any party in reality.

What I would say, is that I've address your bad faith claim I was anti due process, in a very reasonable way.

I can agree with 90% of this, however from what I'm reading now he's in an El Salvador prison the US government's hands are tied.

So from what I've read so far, mostly from ABC news who seem to have the least biased view, is that he was picked up by ICE, and due to an admin error claiming he was a convicted MS13 gang member was deported, and subsequently imprisoned in El Salvador. Once this was sorted the comments I'm seeing are that the US can't actually do anything.

I havnt found anything of planes being ordered to turn around, if you'd be kind enough to post some links that would be great.

But what I disagree with you is intent by the Trump government to continually ignore due process, I just havnt read anything along those lines that hold water
The USA definitely can do something but it's refusing to even attempt to. They have admitted is an error but also said in essence that they don't care. They also definitely could have ordered the plane back before it landed. This isn't a case of their hands being tied, they let this happen long after they knew it was an error and illegal (at least they claim it was an error, it could very easily not have been.)

I was confusing the turning the planes around with a different case, but it again shows a pattern of behaviour by the Trump administration https://abcnews.go.com/Politics/tru...urning-deportation-flights/story?id=120870498

They are now in for a fight on contempt. As for what the administration could or couldn't do, they could definitely go to El Salvador and say it's been an error, they need him back. Trump is currently willing to throw the entire world economy into chaos over fictional issues with the trade deficit, including starting the largest trade war with the second biggest economy in the world, ramping it up on a whim, but somehow has no way to apply pressure to El Salvador to return someone accidently deported? It's not that he is unable, it's that he is unwilling.

Try not to let it get to you mate. At the end of the day, we're just talking rubbish on an obscure forum. We have no power or say in any of this. 👍

For god's do your own research just searching "planes ordered to turn around" on Google gets reams of results, some unrelated but mostly the reports on the judges orders.

I know you are just trying to be annoying but you keep coming up with stupid statements like that.

You're either blind or only read fox news because it's extensively discussed everywhere else including huffpost.

I mean I can't argue with most of this, I'm sure Trump is fully unwilling, and could easily prompt Bukele into returning him

Except Ragey just acknowledged the planes turning around wasn't linked to this case...

Why would I Google something, and acknowledge results not within the scope of the discussion?

Take your aggression level down a notch, there has been nothing said that's controversial, your constant barrage of insults and accusations are getting tedious.

Just because someone doesn't hold the same level of hatred as you on a specific subject, doesn't give you the right to throw insults like 'blind' 'stupid' 'annoying' or 'sanctimonious twat'. I suggest proof reading, and considering whether some of these insults are worth sending to a random stranger on the Internet, who isn't even fully disagreeing with you.

Also, just so your aware, the bottom story in your screen grab is a Heathrow closing story, not Trump related, or depending on your conspiracy tendencies, very Trump related.

So you magically ignored

You do no research and pontificate in things that are easily provable/unproven without one iota of fact.

That makes you stupid is not being able to back anything up. You were sanctimonious because you whinged about not getting a link to an interview that was right there in front of you embedded in the article you professed to read, but didn't because you couldn't make out the word "implied"

As to the Google results, what was the first result? And, didn't I also say "Google gets reams of results, some unrelated but mostly the reports on the judges orders."?

I will put money you didn't try the search yourself because you're just too lazy and wrapped up in being a WUM. You've essentially destroyed not just this thread but any decent conversation with your garbage insertions which 9/10 are just wrong and disruptive.

I might have had some respect for what you say if you had backed up your comments, but you don't, so I have no respect for you, your comments or your "facts"

If you can't grow up then please go away, I hope I'm not alone in this, but this place would so much better without you.

I'm done.

Interestingly the waters get muddier...

I just read the district court statements, on the facilitation of return. They distinctly determine this is to Facilitate and not Effectuate the return of Garcia, and even states the district court essentially cannot demand an Effectation of return of a foreign national.

I find it interesting that the 9-0 decision places such importance on those 2 words:

Facilitate - to make an action easier

Effectuate - to make something happen, or cause it to be done

I also just watched video of the AG offering to provide a plane, and Facilitate his return, in the oval office, in front of Trump and Bukele.

So, it's fair to say, this case is not the 'Maryland man' mistaken identity evil Trump ignoring the courts and breaking laws case people are nefariously claiming it to be, it's far more complex, with muddied waters of an El Salvador illegal (i dont like the word alien), wrongly deported, with near 0 will from the government to reverse the error.

I was considering that this is a bad case for the Democrats to fight Trump on, but I think it might have been a set up, with pictures of senator Van Heylan (hahaha) making a vlog if his journey being disrupted by evil El Salvadorian military, only to be mocked hours later on X by Bekele posting pictures of him sipping Penacoladas at a beautiful beach bar with Garcia...

This picture of him will be used for the mid terms lol, what was he thinking?!

Anyway, without a further update I'm done with the subject, I've read articles from CNN, Fox, BBC, NYT, NYP, The Guardian, AlJazeera, and Huff blwdi Post, and my stance is simple, I dont know, I'm not privy to the confidential info the judges were, and both Trump's team and Dems are politicking hard to skew the optics of this case.

Anyone taking a side on this subject is either niaive or one eyed, but make up your own minds

The ignore option works very well.

Interestingly I've read the page and looked at the oversight report from which is page cites as being it's source

The conclusions I've got is that this is an extremely partisan report, strumpet is only praised for his efforts whereas Biden is thoroughly demonised.
