A Political Thread pt. 2

You know I don't trust politicians, I think you give them too much credit. After BLM destroyed some statues, and defaced others, such as the Chirchil statue the movement lost momentum, and when sanity prevailed pretty much everyone agreed that the actions of the few who looked to use BLM to advance their cause were destructive to society.

Churchill was barricaded off during the Tommy Robinson protests a few years ago, oops sorry, forget to mention he was formerly know as Stephen Yaxley Lennon, and other statues have been protected since.

Let's be honest, it's only a matter of time before there's a new George Floyd, or another BNP type ******** gets locked up and thousands are out on the streets again chanting against white people, or imigrants...

I'd have to look into the crime and policing Bill to see what's actually written, but as of right now we are all just speculating.
I don’t give them too much credit (well to you I probably do) I just don’t think behind every act there is a nefarious motivation (unless it’s Trump of course) but I’ll be the first to criticise if I see further evidence of people’s right to protest being curtailed.

It's people who just want to punish hard for any infringement from their values. They simplistically think punishment detracts. And its both clever and thick people. Just the smart people should know better as loads of evidence show harsher sentences rare impact offending rates.

I’m a believer that every racist voted Brexit but not even close to a majority of Brexit voters were racist. ****, I have about 3 mates who are way more left wing than me that voted Brexit, they haven’t got a racist bone in their body and I’m sure there were many millions more like them.

Imagine voting to leave the eu based on Farage's speeches etc, seeing the chaos, devaluing of your own money and standards etc. Then, going into a voting booth a few years later and voting for him again...
Tribalism. Always been like this. Although there’s an argument it’s got worse in the last decade.

Shorter sentences don't either.

Trump's executive order essentially trying to shut down law firms that took cases against him has now been stopped by a judge. Yet another constitutional crisis coming down the tracks. No doubt this will escalate to the supreme court and they will then decide if their corruption is so extreme they will sacrifice any attempt to prosecute the president away, or if they will do the right thing and shut down the executive action.

Trump has pushed so many constitutional crises so far and so fast, the courts are being backed into a position where they can't really try to worm themselves out of it. It's either fully accept dictatorial acts or oppose them and thus oppose Trump. There isn't the option of sitting on the wall any more.

Was Farage the problem with the Brexit negotiations? Or was it the people doing the negotiations had 0 motivation to make it work, and undermined the process?

Farage isn't going from strength to strength because of a Brexit voting Base is he?

Yes. He was the one pushing to leave the current good deal and replace it with a worse one. There was no undermining. It was always going to be a different variant of a crap deal as the EU told us they could not move on certain things from day one.

God knows, but if people are still listening and following him at this stage, then they're idiots.

I mean people are not only following him, his following is increasing, he's breaking his own records, and is odds on favourite for 2028.

So the question is, are stupid people getting larger in number, or are you discounting these people's concerns and branding them idiots?

The two don't have to be mutually exclusive. Petite can be angry because real concerns are being ignored but then be stupid in his they decide to stop being ignored.
