A Political Thread pt. 2

You don't have to deal with us. There is absolutely no reason for us to continue the relationship.

We do not need you as an economic or military partner. If you would prefer alternatives, please direct your elected officials to pursue them.

Tell Keir to negotiate with China or India or Russia for rare earth minerals and other important inputs.

Americans as whole don't care about the UK. We don't care what you do. We don't care if you like us. We don't care if you want to fight with us. We don't care if you want to trade with us.

If you want to form closer relationships with others, please do!

The only European country Americans as a whole are fond of is Ireland.
I think, unsurprisingly being a fan of Trump, that you're looking at building/maintaining partnerships between long time friends in a very transactional way.

I'm not saying that's totally wrong for what it's worth, there's certainly room for that, or even that should be a major consideration for any nation. But for me I think having a shared history, shared values and principles of equality, freedom and liberty etc etc is more important. looking at the next 50 years or so I think it'll be important to form larger, stronger partnerships with our allies, not to see them get weaker to the benefit of our enemies, countries that do not share the above things that we share.

Anyway, best thing about democracies is that you tend to have changes every few years so I'm hoping for a more friendly America post Trump.

Isn't 5 eyes pretty important to US Intelligence?

I mean I worked on Tempora (or at least believe I did, I know what equipment I was writing SW for was going and was capable of)

I wasn't security cleared BTW the equipment itself wasn't classified.

Eh... I didn't get the exchange on the previous page about Poland and Belarus. It's calm here now, same in Belarus. Were you talking about a giant traffic on the border? If so,then yeah...better not to travel to Belarus through Poland now cause it's a pure nightmare. My relatives are going transit from Poland through Belarus to another destination next month though,so we'll see

I think he's an idiot for vacationing in the Middle East during a hot war.

Chicago has a 1m+ Poles. You don't hear many of them heading back to Warsaw these days.

Our family was planning a trip to Tel Aviv and Istanbul. That's on hold for a good long while.
Well the orange-utan was there rinsing the arabs a few weeks ago.

What, because the Irish allow US companies to avoid paying any tax?

Please write to your local labor leader and tell them you want to stop all trade and military relationships with the US.

We've put your lives in danger. Please end the relationship and forge stronger relations with other countries.

Maybe hold a referendum on ending the relationship. That's worked out beautifully for you.
We don't have any labor leaders, but we do have labour MPs.

Or for Hugh Grant to step up...
