A Political Thread pt. 2

What are your favoured sources of information?

Im happy for a range of sources, there's decent stuff around, but the rage bait being posted as factual is laughable...

I managed 6 minutes into that video, before giving up lol. It's an organisation set up to be anti Trump by any means necesary, that release a video every 2 hours about how Trumpnis done. This is not news, this is click/rage bait intended to suck in and algorithmically addict the viewer!

This channel is basically Coco melon for uninformed adults.

"With all that commotion and all those claims, the Zionist regime was practically knocked out and crushed under the blows of the Islamic Republic,"

"My congratulations on our dear Iran's victory over the US regime. The US regime entered the war directly because it felt that if it didn't, the Zionist regime would be completely destroyed. It entered the war in an effort to save that regime but achieved nothing,"

"The Islamic Republic delivered a heavy slap to the US's face. It attacked and inflicted damage on the Al-Udeid Air Base, which is one of the key US bases in the region."

This is my new favourite guy In the world, if I had social media I'd follow him!

You’d make a good politician.

Standard stuff really. It translates as “we don’t want anymore now can you stop, I need to say all this strong talk to put to the masses so I appear strong and competent”

These quotes killed me, he went from hiding in a bunker to declaring victory over Isreal and slapping US in the face hahaha

Is Internet still available for the masses in Iran?

Because you're very good at not answering questions.

Do you want me to list every viable source lol.

I don't really favour outlets, I find accurate information from a range, sometimes right sometimes left, sometimes wildy biased lol

The independent are running a pretty good update on factual information about the Iran situation currently, there's a youtuber called Kagan Dunlap who has a good insight into some military stuff, he actually identified the bombers en route to 'Guam' and pontificated whether it could be a strike, BBC are pretty solid for all their faults.

I don't generally go anywhere for info specifically, I read around the fringes and find stuff that's not overly biased, but then I also like some biased reporting because it give a different insight, like Al Jazeera.

I would describe my media intake like my music tastes, sporadic and eclectic.

I also have a few dirty little secrets, that I enjoy but wouldnt use as sources.

Yeah, standard message. What's he supposed to say "The Americans and Israelis can bomb us with impunity so we have had to kinda surrender"

Is Starmer going to walk back every policy idea after some backlash?

He has hardly conveyed strength or leadership since arrival, from U turning on policies, jumping to Trumps beck and call on Tarrifs, and Defence spending, bending over backwards to accommodate the EU, and his flip flop on trans issues, he might as well be campaigning for reform!

EDIT: didnt see this at first.

It called for a "relentless focus on the new centre ground in British politics".

Christ that's worrying if true.
