I'm not suggesting shooting unarmed individuals - you are.
We were not invaded because of the efforts of our armed forces - please reread your history books.

I'm looking at enforcing the basic premise of common law that if someone illegally invades your property and breaks into your house, takes up residence and demands money as part of the process you have a basic right to evict that person (forceably or otherwise - proportionality is key) and prosecute.
If you wish to hide behind bizarre "Conventions" to prohibit or impede that process of remedy that is your problem.
There will be some very simple diplomatic channels that can be evaluated and enforced that will persuade the French government to desist from aiding and abetting these illegals.
For example:-
Given that we are not part of the EU, the British Govt can levy an import duty of 500% of the value of all French wines, foods and agricultural produce imported to this country.
Origin as determined by all required phytosantitary certificates and original invoices presented a port of entry.
It does not require military intervention, just political will to defend the borders of this country and protect the best interests of the citizens of this country.
It's not difficult.
You're the one suggesting civillian masscres not me? I'm challenged to understand your thought process. However I'm intrigued to learn about where you're coming from

Right so no guns needed for enforcing the border. Glad we are on the same page. Sounds to me like we don't really need the military then.

A convention is not a law. It's a custom. It used to be a common custom across Europe to burn witches at the stake.
It is not a trade war - it is a final resort if diplomatic negotation is unsuccessful. Given that your UK Govts have already spaffed £millions to the French to enforce border control without effect it is logical to conclude that a different approach is required.

Dont respond to someone trying to get you banned, its petty harrassment.
As i said earlier, what would your first step to splving the illegal entry issue, is this yournissue or is it migration in general?

The Green party have a problem. Polling lowest since Polanski came in, and they find themselves in a difficult position, losing members and trending down in polling which includes a 3% hit since Burnham entered office.
How do you appeal to your 1 issue voters, of which they have 3 distinct blocks (Islam, encironment, LGBTQ) when the unifying thing you used to hit them with has gone (Starmer).
So where do the Greens go from here, yes they can print Kurdish leaflets and call Britains government 'genocidal' in Gorton and Denton, yes they can talk environmental issues in Makersfield, and yes the leader can don his black leather outfits and camp it up, but wothout the Starmer effect thos becomes far less effective.
So where do the Greens go from here? They have to stop the slide thats seemingly just Labour voters returning, but how exactly do they do it without leaning further radical, because Burnham is going to step on theor toes if they dont go lefter.

Too flawed IMHO.
The French are not going to allow British ships to return people to their docks, or even in French waters.
France arent an enemy, theyre a secondary destination, thebpeople who endnup there dont want to be there, they have either failed elsewhere or require the English language / family. Returning people to France will prove too difficult, and isnt even a deterent, because these people arent going to just stay in France, they are desperate to reach the UK. As will the next few thousand, 100k, 1 million, 10 million be.
That said, i dont think this is the issue its been made out to be. The boats are a bit of a distraction i reckon. I recognise poor peoples concerns of changing cultures, roads and areas of major cities becoming non British, politicians pandering to religious groups, demographic changes, and laws and policings reaponses to these things, but the 40k a year coming here from France on illegal crossings arent the issue, that could be reduced with mere steonger messaging and warning communications from the government, who have found themselves too afraid to do that.
We have just seen in Cueta what public messaging can do, coordinated or not, the Spanish lawmakers making the claim that people cant be summarily turnes around in the water opened the floodgates and essentially made the Spanish border meaningless.
Any direct comparison with Cueta, or even Australia is silly, these are very different situations to the UK.
As i said before, ive worled with lots of these guys who come here, they are deluded and have been lied to, and when they get here they struggle to adjust.
Ive literally had a guy ask where does he go to get his house, car and blonde women, ive had stories of young men being raped, attacked and forced into slavery! They overcome all this to get to what they see is the promised land, and amazingly a lot of them follow British and American influencers, infact youd be amazed how many follow Andrew Tate lol. The British man living the dream converted to Islam and saw the light, its genuinely sad!
My point is, you have to change motivations, and that starts woth stronger messaging, because the narrative currently is dictated by the traffickers, who have everything to gain by it.

I thought the same tbh,100% guaranteed... don't want to sound bad, but I'm glad now there are not that many social programs/benefits in Poland now so this country is less attractive for them (and basically most of Polish programs are for the people of polish origins,like me for example)
