If ever there's a sportsman who doesn't get the credit he deserves its Peaty.

Has just redefined his event by becoming the first man to go sub 57 seconds for the 100m breaststroke. No one else has got within 1.4 seconds of him and he now owns the top 16 times in history for the event.

The man's a machine. Totally dominant.

Astonishing. Surely the British sportsman of his generation.

Usain Bolt 'only' has 8 of the top 20 times in the 100m and 10 of the top 20 in the 200m. More sprinters than breaststrokers granted, but still gives some perspective.
