BBC to show live coverage of 2013 Rugby League World Cup

Good news for me, this means I can actually see some Rugby League and even better, in HD as well.

Sort of, BBC will show England in the RLWC.

Quite.

The gloriously triumphant headline doesn't consider the fact that 75% of the games in this tournament are going to be shown by Premier Sports. This I have no problem with, but Virgin Media don't yet carry this channel and seemingly have no plans to do so at the moment.

Virgin is cheaper than Sky so a lot of people will be Virgin customers. For the RFL's sake, I hope a deal gets struck. But if it doesn't, I wouldn't be surprised. Because the RFL are that stupid.

Uch ... Premier Sports really :(

They don't even do an online subscription package I can see of. Gutted.

You're alright if you're with Sky. If however like me you aren't, I get no Championship RL, no NRL and it looks like I'll get no World Cup either. Grim.

And I don't necessarily blame Virgin either.
