Confirmed Transfers

Off the top of my head: James Venter & Jack Mann
May well not be finished with recruitment yet

Hill confirmed as leaving, by Sale

Would imagine a Top 14 club's announcement is pending (think Racing was the last one he was linked to)

Freddie Clarke is a surprise,

Wonder where Harris will go? Probably pushing it a bit to get a big money contract abroad - back to Falcons in a leadership role?
can't see us going for him tbh we have a fairly solid backline minus the halfbacks. Would only see us going for Clarke or Tuisue to replace rubiolo and/or chick

Care retiring.

Genuinely devastated, as much as it was obviously coming sooner rather than later. Our greatest of all time.
Always a big fan of Care - when he and Youngs were both on form they were one of the best 1-2 punches in the game
They also went through that period of whichever started would play poorly and then the bench player would come on and look world class
Always remember the battles he and Faf used to have, and then he and Warr after
He's done well on TNT this season so imagine that's made the decision a little easier - shame he's not going to get to run out for a final game

With Youngs and Care retiring it really feels like the end of an era

From telegraph Lancaster expecting a DOR role?

Owing to the timing of Stuart Lancaster's sacking from Racing 92, logic dictated that the former England coach would be the prime candidate for Leicester. While there was a conversation between the two parties, Lancaster fundamentally had his sights on bigger opportunities. Telegraph Sport understands that Lancaster recommended his former forwards coach, Graham Rowntree, for the role.

Yeah that's a bit gutting, if anyone deserves a farewell match...

Wilf McCarthy (Hartbury) - Centre
Joaquín Moro (Pampas XV) - Back Rower
Charlie ***combe (Scarlets) - 10/15
Tarek Haffar (Saints) - loosehead

Articles I've read suggest he's hoping his knee will allow him to play this weekend.

Great career. Although if it's possible to be slightly frustrated after an international career of 100 caps I suspect he possibly was.

Care and Marler gone within a few months of each other. The Stoop will be a quieter place for a while.

I think he'd possibly have overtaken Youngs if EJ wasn't so thin skinned

Anyone remember England vs Australia at Twickenham in 2017. It was about 6 -6 after about 65 minutes if I remember correctly and Care came on and played the best rugby I had ever seen him play to change the game, England won 30 - 6 I think.

Such a class operator on and off the field he will be missed.

Edinburgh have announced:

Mark Bennett leaving, destination TBA
Dave Cherry to Vannes
Matt Scott retiring
Jamie Hodgson leaving, destination TBA
Emiliano Boffelli leaving, destination TBA
Ali Price to an "overseas opportunity"
Robin Hislop leaving, destination TBA
Javan Sebatian leaving, destination TBA
Jake Henry to Coventry
Nathan Sweeney leaving, destination TBA
Jack Hocking leaving, destination TBA

Addison confirmed as leaving Sale - tbh I thought he'd be retiring

Not sure where he'll go, he seems pretty heavily involved in the family farm/businesses in Cumbria - maybe one of the northern Championship sides?
Been doing some coaching this season so could be a good pickup as a player coach/mentor kinda role, don't think his body can handle full top flight rugby anymore

Apparently we've got three retirements that are being announced at the game on Friday, my guess is Beaumont, Harrison and Taylor
