Well it's arguable Kearney should be the 15, no one else came close, but he does specify that he's picked Le Roux for one moment only, the catch and pass against England.
I don't think it's that unjust. Who in the NZ, SA, Argentina and Australia teams were standouts over the people in the list? Those teams performances were more the result of collective excellence than individual performances.
15. Willie Le Roux (South Africa)/Kearney
14. Tommy Bowe (Ireland) - who was better?
13. Robbie Henshaw (Ireland) - who was better?
12. Jean De Villiers (South Africa) - Fofana? Toomua? SBW?
11. Jonny May (England) - Thomas?
10. Johnny Sexton (Ireland) - No one came close
9. Aaron Smith (All Blacks) - Murray, Laidlaw and Webb all had much bigger performances than smith.
8. Jamie Heaslip (Ireland) - read played well, but was he better than Heaslip against SA and Australia?
7. Chris Robshaw (England) - Arguable, possibly McCaw or Warburton, but he shone in a whipped England side.
6. Jerome Kaino (All Blacks) - he was man fo the match against England imo.
5. Paul O'connell (Ireland) - who was betetr than he was against SA and Australia?
4. Courtney Laws (England) - Rettalick was ok, but not better than Lawes over the course of the four games.
3. Owen Franks (All Blacks) - LOL!!!!
2. Augustin Creevy (Argentina)
1. Joe Marler (England)
Biggar? He most certainly at least 'came close'.
