England 2025/26

Maybe Caluori might get blooded vs. Fiji but it’s an unnecessary risk on a player who isn’t really ready for test rugby. Fiji are no mugs and his lack of top level experience could easily be exploited.

I’d rather we didn’t mess around and focus on getting 4 wins and working on our attacking shape under Blackett.

He's had 2 prem starts, and only one of them was good (I mean it was probably good enough to count as three good starts, but still) - I just don't see any justification for a full EPS spot tbh, even more so now that the A squad is back in full swing so they can get him in for those

He clearly has great potential, but is he better than any of the other wingers in the squad today? Definitely not IMO.

The A squad would have been the perfect option for him and it may be that a he drops down to play in those games.

If he were to play vs. the NZ XV and goes well, maybe some game time vs. Fiji is justified but even then, it’s not like our other wingers behind Freeman and IFW are particularly experienced. If we’re going to mix it up against Fiji and Argentina, I’d far rather see more of Roebuck, Murley or Arundell.

Random idea … I wonder whether there’s an element of bringing in certain types of players to provide a specific challenge in a training scenario. For example, is Caluori being brought in to prep against a player who is notably good aerially i.e. Sua’ali’i?

Radwan would be a good test for defenders up against a Kolbe style stepping winger.

I think that is a good suggestion actually...and also i do believe he will drop down and play the A games.

According to data I've seen he's had 3 prem starts, I'm a bit puzzled why the Sale match is stated to be his debut. He apparently had his first start against tigers in September.

Leicester game wasn't the premiership, that was the bin juice cup

I'm fine with whatever really, even Freeman being moved off the wing if that means no Slade - although I don't know why Lawrence wouldn't be in the 13 shirt
