I don't like the rule but I do think I've seen some recently where a player has lost control of the ball and then fallen on it to score. Why not go back to just being in control?

Are you saying that TMO was right to question the left hand, despite the ball being held firmly between right arm and body?

Basically the player has to have at least one hand on the ball when scoring. Forearm for example is not enough.

ETA: cheers for the explanation though guys. Presumably TNT are/were talking about it.
I'm watching Stan, and they made no mention whatsoever, except hoping it would be disallowed but not expecting it.
