Ok, so there must be a million topics for people to pick their World XV/ Lions XV etc etc.... and while obviously not everyone agrees entirely, there's always the same names being churned out.

Here's a chance for some real debate. Assume you have a team where you couldn't give a **** whether they won or lost - but you wanted them to be the most eccentric, audacious and skilful around. Just imagine you're in charge of advertising at Nike and you're making a Joga Bonito for rugby.

1 condition - players must be currently playing. I don't want to see another bloody fantasy team thread where everyone's got Cullen and Lomu playing.

Mine will be very NH rugby biased, as that's what I watch the most of and these are the players I take note of most when they get the ball (as they're most likely to break someone and/or do something crazy):

1. Soane Tonga'uiha
2. Schalk Brits
3. John Afoa (for his EOYT last year :p )
4. Courtney Lawes
5. Brad Thorn?
6. Tom Croft
7. Willem Alberts
8. Thomas Waldrom
9. Ben Youngs
10. Quade Cooper
11. Alesana Tuilagi
12. Sonny Bill Williams
13. Manu Tuilagi
14. Chris Ashton
15. Ben Foden

Damn, that's a lot of Leicester Tigers on there :p
and Saints, for that matter

My team. I tried to put as many french players as possible.

Not a bad team, made for running.

1 Simon Lemalu
2 Schalk Brits
3 John Afoa
4 Semisi Naevo
5 Isaac Ross
6 Yannick Nyanga
7 Fulgence Ouedraogo
8 Imanol Harinordoquy
9 Fred Michalak
10 Francois Trinh-Duc
11 Cedric Heymans
12 Maxime Mermoz
13 Rene Ranger
14 Isaia Toeava
15 Max Medard

I never understand why people put Toeava at 14. He's not really all that quick, and there are faster and stronger wingers out there (Hosea Gear of example ;) ). He's been brillaint at Fullback, but I wouldn't want him on the wing come RWC.

Well you can swap him with Gear or Masaga if you want...:)

Mean squad mate.

No mention of Shane Williams yet?

1. Ryan Bevington/Gethin Jenkins (Bevington is riddiculously quick for a prop, anybody remember his 70-metre indivdual try Vs the Dragons last year? He also scored an interception try from half way in a friendly, I believe it was against Gloucester.)
2. Schalk Brits
3. John Afoa
4. Sebastian Chabal
5. Sam Whitelock
6. Tom Croft
7. Imanol Harinordoquy
8. Andy Powell, although largely for his off-feild antics as well.

9. An on-form Ben Youngs
10. Matthew Morgan (YEAH.)
11. Shane Williams
12. Quade Cooper
13. Sonny Bill Williams
14. Chris Ashton
15. Ben Foden

15. Ben Foden
14. Julian Savea
13. Mathieu Bastareud
12. Sonny Bill Williams
11. Hosea Gear
10. James Hook
9. Francois Hougaard

1. Soane Tonga'uiha
2. Schalk Brits
3. Census Johnston
4. Alun Wyn Jones
5. Courtney Lawes
6. Sione Lauaki
7. Schalk Burger
8. Jerry Collins

:)

No mention of Martyn Williams at 7 yet? I thought he was considered one of the best linking opensides in the world game.

Good shout with Matthew Morgan at 10 Doodle, most exciting 10 I've seen! Cooper does some crazy sh*t though lol.

The only way I think I can do this is to select Welsh players only, so:

01 Hugh Gustaffson
02 Gareth Williams
03 Erm, can tightheads ever be considered exciting? Scott Andrews. Wow that front row would be destroyed scrum time!
04 Alun-Wyn Jones
05 Damian Welch
06 Justin Tipuric (I know he's out of position)
07 Martyn Williams
08 Andy Powell

09 Dwayne Peel
10 Matthew Morgan
11 Shane Williams
12 James Hook
13 Jonathan Davies
14 George North / Kristian Phillips (see the Hong Kong 7's)
15 Morgan Stoddart

Ooh! I want to replace Afoa with Census!
He's an absolute beast

He scored a great try when I went to the Stade de France for the Stade/Toulouse game last season, and I remember a great 80m run he made for Saracens in the EDF cup about 3 years ago that resulted in a try. He's class!

1. Soane Tonga'uiha
2. Schalk Brits
3. Cencus Johnston
4. Jonny Fa'amatuainu
5. Joe Tekori
6. Akapusi Qera
7. Imanol Harinordoquy
8. Sergio Parisse
9. Shane Williams
10. Quade Cooper
11. Rupeni Caucaunibuca
12. Sonny Bill Williams
13. James Hook
14. Takudzwa 'Zee' Ngwenya
15. Kurtley Beale

I will give this a try as well:

1. Tendai Mtawarira (Because we have to yell BEAST at least 15 times a match)
2. Matthew Rees (B&I Lions player who was part of an all-Welsh front row for the first time in 54 years)
3. Mauro Castrogiovanni (For looking like a homeless guy)
4. Andries Bekker (just because he's so tall haha)
5. Ali Williams (remarkable how he returned after his injury)
6. Sergio Parisse (outstanding during the Six Nations)
7. Jean Deysel (Wrecking ball, plain and simple)
8. Ryan Kankowski (Because I can and because he is the most versatile nr. 8 I know)
9. Sarel Pretorius (Young, running, not scared of anything and at least 1 Griquas player has to be in my team)
10.Quade Cooper (Do I have to explain?)
11.Nikki Walker (What's that coming over the hill? It's Nikki Walker, it's Nikki Walker!)
12.Sonny Bill Williams (Most exciting player in World Rugby today)
13.Francois Steyn (Because we need those 65 metre dropgoals)
14.Takudzwa Ngwenya (fast, dodgy and able to chase his own kicks)
15.Juan Martin Hernandez (Because you need someone to do the kicking when you have Quade Cooper at 10)

01 Gethin Jenkins
02 Bismarck du Plessis
03 Adam Jones
04 Andries Bekker
05 Bradley Davies
06 Jean Deysel
06 Martyn Williams

10 Matthew Morgan
11 Shane Williams
12 Gavin Henson
13 Robbie Fruean
14 Hosea Gear
15 Kurtley Beale
