I’m not even watching the game and didn’t watch last week. Borthwick has single handedly decimated my care and enthusiasm for England rugby.

I think I only watched 2 6 nations games. I use to watch England religiously

That's just bad defending but good try.

It's after he is stood up and not held that's a clear yellow, prob red but I'd be happy with yellow as it was a dock move but low force.

Unfortunately he'll probably get a contract extension after this, the RFU absolutely love papering over cracks

I don't think he was shithousing, getting a full foot of studs into your sternum really ******* hurts, can confirm
Errr...
Holding a player, especially a SH, down well after the tackle is shithousing.
Which doesn't deserve a set of studs in the chest after you've eventually released him.

NB: shithousing=/= play acting

England still clunky in the backs play, however given the stiffling heat they are far far more powerful than Fiji in all areas. Fiji not being given a chance to play their game as they are being physically overwhelmed.

Make no bones about it, Fiji are playing below their abilities both this week & last. But so far this puts Wales result in perspective (IMHO) and that is last week was two relatively matched teams who will be between 7-12 in the world & this week is a huge step up against a, admittedly underperforming, England side.

I still think this England has ridiculous talent in abundance with a phenomenally high ceiling, & that a better coaching ticket without Borthwick & Wigglesworth would be realising this more than we have seen to date.

First permanent red I've seen in a while, possibly since the 20min came in
There wasn’t any cards at all in the wales Fiji game and I can’t remember the last time I saw that either. But yeah, don’t often see a straight red.

I remember Ben Thomas did something similar but the kick was closer to head area. Incredibly stupid, not to mention dangerous.

Thx 4 reading

*I assume you can understand that language.
I even understand your points about Borthwick not just this post but in general we prob agree on alot but I'm watching to support the 23 players on the pitch not Borthwick and I will watch and support my country for them. No matter because I'm an English rugby fan.

I dont agree with BJVR not because of him being SA but because of what he's said before about playing for England. But he's been picked and ill support my country.

I just don't care if your not watching put your gripes comments in the England thread not the match day thread and I'm sure we'll agree on much.

Tbh vs 14 men bringing on Pollock and Calouri will be great it will be made for them with more space for running and more space outside for kicks.

We need to be ruthless and make it a proper big score.

Our defence is strong and physical and doing well but when you watch the breakdown the basics of guards seem to be lacking and a few fundermentals as if a SH is our defence coach and doesn't quite no haha.

Another maul with all the backs coming in

England's driving mauls have helped them win the game but they need to develop more variety in attack to beat teams other than Fiji. They have missed an opportunity here.

Personally I still think defence looks poor. Still have players shooting out, still have players missing tackles, still lots of holes. Fiji have just been poor.
