Benidorm, Spain.

For some reason, I very much disliked Benidorm; If I can, I'll never return, unless it's one day to visit friends.

And if that might happen, I am NOT going to the beach, the elder ladies wearing bathing suits that weren't made for them, with too much jewelry, were a sickening sight :s Some people lose their dignity.

Depends when you go to Benidorm, August is the time when lots of French and Germans go. If you go in Early July when there are lots of young British people there its totally different.

Well, I went in May, I think, and it was brilliant. The one problem I have with Spain is it seems very commercialised so that there is very little culture to be seen in this sort of city. Instead you have to explore to find it. What I do love about Spain, and Benidorm in particular was the relaxing atmosphere; it was totally refreshing compared to the stressed out feeling I get in Wales (of course, it's a holiday :p, but it wasn't because of that, it just felt much more peaceful than Wales). Maybe I'm biased though, since it was my first foreign holiday! I would go there again, but not too regularly.

I love all of Spain, except those bits that are over commercialised, where the only spanish people you'll find are the baker (if you're lucky). And why is this? Because people go on a holiday for the weather, expecting everything to be as they are used to, except more sun and a beach.
I'm glad to hear SOME people at lest try and find some culture, and just for the record, Spain is full of culture! Except of course if you visit Benidorm, Salou, or Ibiza. People don't go there for culture. They go there for drugs, alcohol and unsafe sex.

Yeah I've been to costa del sol a few times but it's inundated with "All day english breakfasts" and "egg and chips". It drives me insane. You have to go and find the culture to appreciate a holiday in my honest opinion.

Try heading to Galicia, or Asturias.

Of course I'm biased but still :p
Divine food, the slightly older population doesn't speak English and there's enough nature and culture for everyone.

These aren't my pics but I've been to Cape Town a few times, twice on rugby tour. We basically played on a field where the soil underneath the grass was replaced with grape seeds. Took us 2 days to get there by train from Durban, but there was 60 of us so you didn't get bored very easily.
The most beautiful city in SA and Table Mountain is the reason.

Here's Robben Island, where Nelson Mandela was imprisoned for 27 years (or somewhere around there). You can see it from Table Mountain pretty easily
