Huget stamp, deliberate or not?

no comment on above,(just for info) the team is Bordeaux Begles, and nothing to do with Beagles ......Begles is the town just outside Bordeaux where they used to play before they moved to the ex footie ground of Bordeaux, "Chaban Delmas" as the footie have a brand new stadium where this seasons TOP 14 semis will be played on the 5/6th June.

In a game against the Bordeaux Beagles, Huget can me seen stamping on the face of another player: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GNb-twSS5gg

Looks pretty deliberate to me although no action was taken at the time or after. If so it is absolutely disgusting. Thoughts?

Don't think it's deliberate, think the guy has his leg and he losses balance.

Also look at his reaction post incident, he stops playing and attends to the player he just stamped.

Accidental.

This was a non-event. No citing from Bordeaux. That incident has been spotted but was deemed, correctly, accidental. It could have resulted in a serious injury to the Bordeaux player. But it is accidental.

You're just trying to pick on a player with an impeccable discipline record because you don't like him.

You're just grasping at straws trying to find a motive. I didn't like him diving or ******* about with Mike Brown when France played England but I have no motive.

I am not grasping at anything. You're the one trying to pick on a player over an incident that was deemed a non-event during and after the game.
Huget loses balance as his supporting leg is held. I have seen similar incidents with the player sometimes also falling on the player on the ground which doesn't look as bad but can be equally dangerous.

There is no citing from either Bordeaux or the game's officials. If intent had been there, it was red card territory and Huget would be in big trouble.
Now of course you can use the thread to show your love for Huget his neatly trimmed beard and his French air of je ne sais quoi that so easily gets your goat...

You are grasping at straws. There also wasn't any action taking for the stamping and knee to the back in the Ireland-Babas game, doesn't therefore mean nothing happened. You may always look to attack English players just because they are English but I don't operate that way with French players, we aren't all like you.

Nobody said nothing happened with the Huget incident. It's not like it's a cover up. My take is it's accidental.

Attack English players? Getting a tad paranoid now.. Should they be escorted on and off the pitch? what dya reckon.

I'm sure Mike Brown got over it. Will you?

You really don't see the irony of that statement do you...? However you have clearly gone out of your way to derail any discussion on this.

when are you starting your Huget fan club?

I didn't derail anything. I have answered above the question in your post: I think it's accidental.

Provide evidence that I hate huget, put up or shut up.

Huget should definitely be cited for that.
He's not exactly covered himself in glory in the past so it's not beyond the realm or comprehension that he's done it on purpose.

At the very least it was reckless IMO.

Huget had to know that the tackler's head was very close to his feet since the tackler still had a hold of one of them. Also the stamp appeared to be in a more backwards direction than what I would expect for a player tripping and stumbling forwards

IMO, Huget has been delivered a very large slice of benefit of the doubt.

I've got to be honest, I like Huget, but that looked like it was purposeful.

He didn't have his right leg held, it was next to the other player and he stamped far too hard for a man with or without balance. I think it was one of those rage moments where he instantly regrets it and tends to the player he stamped instantly with genuine remorse. Disgusting though.

This sums up my take on it entirely (except the bit about liking Huget...)

The bottom line for me is no one stamps down onto the ground that hard to maintain balance

He clearly does as he pulls it free as he falls over then looks back.

So I guess we can discount the rest of your opinion as your clearly blind.

No, he stamps down that hard as he's trying to run and has his weight pulled back by his other leg, it was a running strife that gets tracked from under him.

When people trip they don't glide to the floor they tend to come down hard.
