Seems odd that Dave Rennie was not chosen to coach the Hurricanes, and instead Mark Hammet was selected. Hammet is apparently very good, but Dave Rennie has earned higher honours, and it seems like only a matter of time till overseas snatch him up. Julian Savea is my pick for at least a bench spot in the Lions, and maybe the Hurricanes, seeing as with Ellison gone, we have some space for other wingers.
