Kits 2014/2015

no, i understand what you're saying but to me it makes more sense to have a reversal of the standard kit on the shirt... and with the socks being black...

Last time we worn black every Kiwi I know got angry and it seemed to curse us. I'm happy with red.

The socks are blue, not black.

The shirts are essentially heraldic - black is not an English heraldic colour.
Red is - it's also arguably more credible as an English "national colour" than white is.

Blue/Black - it's indistinguishable.

The point I was making is it makes more sense to me be a reversal of that already used.

Meh! whatever, i don't really care enough to get into it, you got my point or at the least what i was trying to say if you want to argue the semantics of it crack on.

The colours should always be that of your country's flag. I like a plain white top and a plain red top for the away shirt.

Yep, just like the New Zealand and Australian kits :)

Semantics?

I got your point but away shirts aren't purely practical. If you were going to be that utilitarian then it'd be better to just assign each nation with a different colour.

yeah, the meaning behind the colors.

I get what your saying and it makes sense, it's just to me that's how i see it/it makes sense.

I can't say i'm overly bothered by the red shirts, i'm not sat there going "WTF ARE THEY DOING!!!!" :)

What is the difference between the jersey 2012 and jersey 2014?? Only the fkg position of the rose? Thanks RFU and CCC, you saved me 100 pounds

Yeah, I've got no issues with a new kit each season - if people want to buy it then crack on, of not then the last X years worth are similar enough that it doesn't really matter.

More money going to the rfu is always a good thing.

If they want more money they have to start designing new jerseys because they are losing money with me. I'm a fkg shopaholic, but I'm not buying the new jersey because is equal to the 2012 and I have it

Why do people get upset by teams updating kit every year?

It's a very important revenue stream for them.
If you don't like the kit then don't buy it.

^^^this too

i quite like the new designs...don't have to buy it, i actually gave up on buying replica jerseys a few years ago when i stopped having the body of a professional rugby player......<_<

much more interested in the supporters gear and CCC have done some cracking English supporters gear over the last couple of years

on questions though, any idea why they seem to have gone back to the 2012 collar? thought last years collar was the next evolution for CCC...now i don't know what to think

I don't think they have a stock design - they have a number of options that the client can choose from, because there is always a degree of variation between team's with Canterbury kits.

collars have generally always been the same with just a different patterns in the fabric, quite often see the big international teams get a new template the year before we see it in domestic rugby, use to be RSA and Aussie would get first crack now i guess its England and Ireland...but i havent seen the last england kit in domestic comps yet...and that scoop neck is very similar to the current domestic options and the former england one...

I hope the Wallabies update their kit again next year - this new one looks like ass...

I'm actually a little surprised the Wallabies don't bring out an alternate kit to be honest... I'd love to see a dark green one with a gold collar in the style that they used before they started playing the Boks. I'd buy it for sure.

really, i always think of a brighter green when i think of the springboks

kind of like when Nike slowly made the french jersey darker and darker and then Adidas took over, went back to a bright blue and everyone was like..."that's what its supposed to be!"
