Lote Tuqiri sacked by ARU.

He has had a drinking problem and the ARU told him if he broke the rules they had in place one more time he would be fired.

That could be why he got the sack.

It's serious f***ing business though, it's not as if we're blessed with a plethora of great backs at the tahs, especially on the wing. Don't know who is going to fill his place, Carraro is mediocre and Nasiganiyavi inexperienced. ARU obviously felt justified in making some sacrifices.

Boohoohoo....[/b]

Stop your crying man and get a hold of yourself!!!!! Pull yourself together for goodness sake! (splashes a glass of cold water in Woldog's face).

Even with a back line that can't throw two phases together we'll still **** on the reds. Now that's something to cry about.

...Carraro is mediocre...[/b]

Don't like to kick a man while he's down, but Carraro will also be playing at Bath next season, not in Oz.

There's one Queenslander D.Mitchell coming over from Perth, nothing special though.

At least Mitchell has some good play in him, despite the fact he can also play atrociously. The Tahs will miss Lote's consistent averageness, at least he was reliable.

11. Nasiganiyavi/Tahu
14. Turner
15. Mitchell

Why are you whinging? That is a pretty epic back three bar injuries.

precisely :bravo: well said Wally

except nasiganiyavi ahead of tahu lol he's sh*t

I'm not whinging, i'm just illustrating that the breach must have been pretty serious if the NSWRU agreed on the termination despite a lack of depth in the backs. Mitchell will be great, but as you said we have to fill the 15 jersey now Sam Norton-Knight has headed off, and it's unlikely you will see Tahu on the wing considering he prefers playing as an inside centre, lacks speed, and has a penchant for pulling his ham-string meaning he'll probably have to be replaced half way through the season anyway.

It's not as if the ARU and NSWRU looked at those three players (one of which has not yet had a proper S14 cap) and considering this new found depth of flyers figured Lote, a test veteran, was all of the sudden expendable.

Slightly off topic but Isn't there an ecentric Governor General who is slightly mad and can donate a name to a new Australian Rugby trophy for a "Son of ARC"?

Saves it from having a utterly rubbish name like "The Telstra Rugby Championship Cup" or something equally as horrible.

I miss nutty Governors General. Bring back messrs Stanley and Bledsloe I say!

where do you think he would go?
back to league or to uk/france...or both?

It's a low act to have canceled his contract on July 1, as the cut off date for signing players in the NRL and French Rugby is June 31st. However NRL CEO David Gallop said that exceptions could be made, which obviously Tuqiri would be one if he decided to make a comeback to League.

The Eels have openly expressed they want him, as have the ***ans and the Broncos to a lesser extent. With Hunt leaving, that frees up 425 000, as that was what was set aside to offer him before he decided to leave. I guess Lote could always go to Suntory in Japanese rugby to reunite with former national coach Eddie Jones. Jones is keen.

Sources have come out and said that Lote was involved in a bit of a Matty Johns style gangbang at the Crown Casino with Valentine and Ashley-Cooper.

Ashley-Cooper was given a warning as it was his first time in trouble (thankfully considering his recent excellent form at fullback! )

Valentine was dropped from the squad as it was his second incident in a week after the 'food fight' affair.

Lote was sacked.

Hopefully, we'll see if there's any truth to this soon.

poor Tuqiri  :buddies: :buddies: :buddies: :buddies: :buddies: :buddies: :buddies: :buddies:

(In foreign accent) "What is this banging of gangs that you are speaking of ?"

Maybe they are already and we just don't know. I guess we'll have to wait for our forum porno expert to tell us? :)
