How can you not have the money? All of England's major sports are loaded!
Shows how little you know... only football is loaded! Everything else is left to fend for itself almost! [/b]
I pride myself on my lack of English knowledge.

If the ECB was loaded, they would be able to afford boycotting Zimbabwe.

Well dont comment on anything then; that's ignorance of the highest order.

RFU over the last few years has had a huge turnover increase on the pre Woodward era.
What a surprise.................................

They can't be that poor if they spent â'¬50 million on their world cup effort.

NZ is doing well at the moment. Luckily it isn't test cricket. Also lucky that the World Cup isn't test cricket. Unlucky that the Aussies play cricket.

NZ aren't going too badly huh, wheres this england will win easy stuff?
We're playing extremely poorly, but all credit to New Zealand for playing as they have been doing.

Since Bracewell took over we have become a first rate one day team - but our test cricket has slipped (not so long ago we were third best in the world in tests - pushing second......)

Anything can happen in a one off one day cricket final but really NZL should win on form, and the overall talent we possess throughout the team.

England, Flintoff/Strauss excluded, are pretty poor, most sides would easily beat this current Windies outfit. England seem to have real problems pacing their innings correctly, and as a result are not getting the scores they need on the various wickets provided. On a good pitch at lords, facing only two specialist bowlers, they should have scored 300+. Robert Key could be Scott Styrises "banjo playing" brother, but bats like Chris Martin. Vaughn has an appalling International one day batting record, but people in higher places are loath to do anything about it because he is the captain.

Throw in the bowling, which generally lacks teeth, especially in the beginning of the innings, where early wickets are vitally important. The first wicket apart, the only other two wickets to fall for the Windies at Lords were two short and wide efforts that should have resulted in easy boundaries but were instead edged behind to the keeper.

The Windies on a good day will destroy anybody with some of their top batsmen, but their bowling is very weak, and their fielding even weaker. If you collar their fast bowlers early they tend to become even more erratic (ie. loads of extras), and their 3rd, fourth and fifth bowlers are really only part time hacks. Their fielding is abysmal.

New Zealand has a pretty well balanced one day team that bats a long way down without sacrificing on the bowling attack. Cairns and Oram make this possible. They are a pretty good fielding team (though some dropped catches recently hasn't shown this lately). Bowling is still a little weaker then usual (ie no "in form Tuffey, no Bond), but have enough part time bowlers capable of helping out if required (ie. Scott Styris).

By the way they should scrap the next game, as it is just a waste of time, and just have the final at Lords.

England beaten by 7 wickets by Windies.

NZ v Windies final

England need to sort out their one day outfit. Robert Key should have never worn an England shirt of any description for a number of reasons including, he is unfit, he can't concentrate and he can't field.

Freddy Flintoff is the best all-rounder in the world. Rikki Clarke, Paul Collingwood, Ian Blackwell etc... are all shite.

Michael Vaughan should bat 3 with Strauss and Tres at the top. Geraint Jones then Freddy. Kevin Pietersen should be in the side sooner rather than later. then Giles (or a spinner who can actually bat, maybe Blackwell) then Harmison, Anderson, Gough (Mahmood or Jones when fit)

Trescothick
Strauss
Vaughan
Pietersen
Flintoff
Jones
Giles/Blackwell
Anderson
Harmison
Mahmood/Jones

Have to hold my hands up and say that the two best teams are in the final - fair dos, England have been totally and comprehensively outplayed in this tournament. Our batting improved but the bowling is shocking.

There, I've eaten humble pie!

England lost it in the first 20 overs they batted.............

Haha England so much for "England will win with ease" we are a way better ODI side then test side thats 10 ODIs without a loss new record and if we win the final which we should NZ will be 2nd in the world at ODI's not bad ay

For all your bragging, it's test matches where it counts so I wouldn't shout my mouth off if I were you...

I know i realised that as soon as i posted it but i mean c'mon u should have bragged when u kicked our buts in the test but in all honesty why did u think 7th ranked England would beat third ranked NZ in the ODI's
