I'm disappointed with this team, goes to show Henry can't pick the best players and Robbie should be the coach.
Kieran Reid, how did he miss out? Especially to Adam Thomson who only started 6 times this year for the Highlanders. I thought Reid was unlucky missing out on the World Cup, but this is just ridiculous! I hope Henry is just giving Reid a break and will bring him back for the Tri-Nations
Also agree Lelia Masaga should be in ahead of Rudi Wulf, he's stronger, faster and most of all in better form which is supposedly what Henry was basing his picks on, even Vainokolo is better than Wulf.
I don't know about Richard Kahui either, but then Brett and Toeava didn't do much this season, I reckon Casey Laulala should be there instead.
No Evans, well he might have been there if he waited till the end of the year to tell everyone he was going overseas.
Jason Eaton over Anthony Boric probably.
Good luck to the All Blacks anyway, who knows Thomson, Wulf, Kahui & Boric might prove me wrong.

how about the big topic - centers. looks like nonu will get the nod at 12, or by the 22's picked in this thread. i think that kahui is the better 13, but like wc said - having a established pair always helps, thats not to say that tutuvaki wont be at 13.

also think that the way subs come into the fowards will be interesting. having a proven pair of torn and williams at locks and the young kaino at 6, then after half time sub torn and kaino for broic and lauaki. same goes for the front row. change a starting mealamu and afoa for hore and tealaa - again established pairs all the way through.

The selectors did say that Tui prefered Wing and that he played well at Wing so I think they'll keep him there and maybe with the subs will move him to centre occasionally. As Henry said, I believe Kahui is the future Centre. He tackles well, runs well, passes well, and, although others would disagree, he has an alright boot on him.

yeah definatly. we have some major lapses in some postitons that need to be worked on before they get worse. center is one of them. smith has had his chance to impress and hasnt. not at the level thats required. the other is loose fowards. kaino is the way to go. plays 6 and 8, (and 7 i think) and is young. and fianaly locks. we have had a lock problem for a while. jack and williams were our best 2 by far, but not always in form all the time. ali will be around for a while, but we need to invest in broic or another younger talent.



as for wings - weve always got good wingers. its not like they are a key in a team. having one long term one, ie rokococo, and then moving another one in and out with other wingers is all we need.

I can see Wulf and Masaga being the long term Wings. One's flashy, quick and can score tries from anywhere, the other's dependable and always gets the job done.

Ho old is Kaino? He's been tried before a few times but I can' remember when I'd imagine that the only 7 that will get into the ABs anytime soon will be Tanerau Latimer. He has the skills and he'll be in his prime when good ol' Richie goes.

Kieran Read was absolutely robbed. There is no other way to say it. Not only was he the best 6 in the country this year, but he made like what 23 tackles in the super 14 final?! Why wouldn't you select a player who does it all and steps up in the clutch when it all matters? I don't get it at all.

To be fully honest, this is the weakest All Black line up put out in a long, long time.

The only thing I could pick out of that is that only Nonu and Muliaina have international experience other than that it's not too bad.
