I already put this list on Woldog's Lengends Topic.

I do it again just to give italian users chance to improve the list or add players or just make some change on it :D

I excluded from my list all still active players

1 Massimo Cuttitta / 180 cm * 110 kg
2 Carlo Orlandi (currently Forward coach for Italy NT) / 183 cm * 100 kg
3 Franco Properzi Curti / 118 cm * 112 kg
4 Carlo Checchinato (the forward with the highest number of tries scored in test-match, and current Team Manager of Italy NT) / 198 cm * 110 kg
5 Mark Giacheri / 202 cm * 113 kg
6 Massimo Giovanelli (what a flanker and captain) / 185 cm * 104 kg
7 Andrea Sgorlon / Flanker / 180 cm * 93 kg
8 Julian Gardner (former player for Australia) / 193 cm * 100 kg
9 Alessandor Troncon / 178 cm * 87 kg
10 Diego Dominguez (we still miss you) / 173 cm * 76 kg
11 Marcello Cuttitta (brother of Massimo, best tries scorer for Italy with 29 in Test Matches) / 180 cm * 87 kg
12 Luca Martin / 185 cm * 90 kg
13 Ivan Francescato (former scrum-half, light player with impressive speed and handling) / 178 cm * 80 kg
14 Paolo Vaccari (IMHO the best italian wing ever, also played for Barbarians) / 185 cm * 93 kg
15 Javier Pertile / 185 cm * 90 kg

Replacements

Alessandro Moscardi / HOOKER / 185 cm * 105 kg
Walter Cristofoletto / 2nd ROW / 194 cm * 110 kg
Andrea Castellani / PROP / 191 cm * 110 kg
Giampiero De Carli / HOOKER or PROP / 184 cm * 112 kg
Orazio Arancio / Flanker / 191 cm * 104 kg
Cristian Stoica / 12 or FB / 188 * 100 kg
Massimo Bonomi / 12 / 180 cm * 90 kg
Stefano Bettarello / FLY HALF (first italian player invited for Barbarians) / 173 cm * 70 kg
Massimo Mascioletti / WING or FULLBACK/ 227 tries in 227 matches played during his career in Italian championship (1973/1990)

That's all. Sincerely i don't think Andrea De Rossi is better than someone on my list, just my opinion.
Thx again guys!!!

For the Tongan Legends Team, you have to use the 2007 RWC Team. As a proud half Tongan I would have to say that that was our most succesful team RWC-wise and probably the best Tongan Team ever.

Cheers Fa'atau for the good work :D

I disagree. The 07 team was the most successful i think, but they also had a decent team in 95 and in 99 too. They had the likes of Pita Alatini, Toutai Kefu and Inoke Afeaki in 95. In 99 they got thumped by England and the AB's, but did beat Italy who would have been quite a strong team then. And also Tonga qualified for RWC95 at the expense of Fiji i assume, who must have been ****** about that.

That is a very good point.

Now that I think of all the games with Tonga i've watched and heard about (and a little help from Scrum.com and Wikipedia), I would say off the top off my this is what a good Tongan Legends Team would look like:

1. Tevita Taumoepeau (6ft 0", 264lb)
2. Ephraim Taukafa (5 ft 11", 238lb)
3. Tonga Lea'aetoa (6 ft 2", 286lb)
4. Inoke Afeaki (6 ft 6", 242lb)
5. Paino Hehea (6 ft 3", 242lb)
6. Hale T-Pole (6 ft 4", 242lb)
7. Nili Latu (5ft 11", 222lb)
8. Finau Maka (from my research, Toutai Kefu never played for Tonga) (6 ft 2", 242lb)

9. Sililo Martens (6 ft 0", 213lb)
10. Pierre Hola (6 ft 0", 231lb)
11. Joseph Vaka (5 ft 11", 214lb)
12. Pita Alatini (5 ft 11", 198lb)
13. Epi Taione (6 ft 4", 261lb)
14. Seti Kaiole (6 ft 5", 259lb)
15. Sateki Tuipulotu (5 ft 11", 203lb)

Doesn't Epi Taione usually play inside centre? Not that big a deal but thought i might as well mention it

I think john kirwan was a really great player, but hes hardly ever mentioned in threads choosing the top XV in each team, why is this?
