Official Super League 2006 Thread

But why do you think they (some of them) opted for Man U? Is this smth that has to do with the fact that Liverpool `steal` the intrest! Is somehow a way of revenge?

I really don`t understand ppl choices to support other teams than the local ones!

I have no idea, a mixture of people who have supported them for years and people who have joined them since the 1990's when they were winning everything in sight.

It was only a cup game against shocking opposition but yes Rassie, Wigan won, as contradictory in terms as that may be!

Why didn`t you tell me Lyon is from Australia? I though he is a pom !

Well, from what i`ve seen only Castleford didn`t manage to qualify (from the League teams)

LOL, Lora`s favorites, Celtic Crusaders got their arse whipped pretty bad!

Oh no, Jamie's an Aussie. Cas are the biggest scalp of this round indeed. The Crusaders are a new team and they will get better as time goes, it was actually their first ever defeat...

How come Wigan won in Challenge Cup vs Wakefield and now they are trashed vs the same team! You, St Helen, judging after the score, played crap vs Harlequins (in comparison with previous other games this season)

Well Rassie, in my 15 years as a Saints fan I don't remember the weather being as bad as it was on friday. It was awful, really terrible. I've never seen a set of players run for the shower as quickly as they did at full time.

We did well ultimately, we defended superbly and ground out the win. It wasn't a great performance, not surprising what with the weather. Wigan were very lucky to beat Wakefield, and their luck ran out second time around, they got slaughtered. I hope they continue to be off colour for this Friday.

Saints 48 - 10 Wigan

Says it all when I'm disappointed we didn't score 50 and that we let them score at all.
