I don't know if that's right, but there are some strange kick off times this season because of UTC.

I didn't know Harlequins had a RL team?

Spooky...

The London Broncos sold out to the yawnion team so now they have their fingers in league pie as well as yawnion pie.

Why are you angry? Isn't already the case for Leeds Rhinos and Tykes? I guess this means that they can share investments on the club facilities.

Personally I think they should have done this back in 2000 rather than moving off to Charlton and then Brentford - but disagreements with the then owner of Quins put paid to that.

Not sure about the Broncos name change, but I can see it has to be good for the team to run out in a stadium decorated in the same colours and logos as they are wearing, rather than just a little broncos logo on the top corner of one of the stands.

Anyway, if the Bradford chairman had had his way earlier this year, no London superleague club would exist at all anymore, let alone as Harlequins RL.

Don't have a problem with them cross coding myself - and they seem to be doing a good effort at opening the minds of both sets of supporters (wippet boys and rahrah yawnions) so far.

lol, It will be 12 noon that one. Good Friday.

go the catalans written off by many as being the whipping boys and not favoured to go well at all. then they come out and beat wigan. catalans should not be taken lightly now.

We need to see anyway how they play away. I am pretty sure that like any French team of the both codes they are much better at home than away.

The Dragons played very well but we really need to see how they go against a stronger team and their fate will only become clear after the first 6 or so rounds. It remains to be seen if they can put in that kind of performance week in week out.

It bodes well however that on their day they can put in a performance like that. If they managed to get into the playoffs that kind of performace wouldnt do them any harm at all.

BTW esoj with regards to my post a couple of weeks ago I said it didnt look good for the Dragons, I never said they were doomed to failure.

You dont need to keep mentioning that post everytime they have a win. FWIW I hope the Dragons go really well in Superleague. It can only help the development of the sport and im 100% behind that.

The Dragons got nothing to worry about, they can't get relegated for the first 2 seasons, even if they finished 12. It will be whoever finishes 11 gets relegated.

Right, a summary of the results this weekend:

Sunday, 12 February 2006
Engage Super League

Leeds 20 - 12 Huddersfield

Wakefield 14 - 20 Bradford

Warrington 6 - 24 Salford

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Saturday, 11 February 2006
Engage Super League

Catalans Dragons 38 - 30 Wigan

Harlequins RL 16 - 40 St Helens

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Friday, 10 February 2006
Engage Super League

Castleford 18 - 42 Hull

I didn't see any of the live games, but Catalans beating Wigan is not only a great result from a personal view, but from a comedy point of view. If the Goons are going to defend like that all season, it could be more than 75 this season!

Saints made a solid start - not an easy game first up, and I am pleased with the result. Good start to the season.
