Out of interest where do central contracts money come into this, money paid by country unions, does that have to be taken into account in salary caps or is that exempted?

As far as I'm aware they're separate - it's replacing match fees (for the centrally contracted players) and match fees have never counted before

It's not being oaidrby the club or an agent of the club, so it ought to be exempt.
Unless the reg.s have been re-written explicitly to count it.

I hope some of this year's retirees decide to become better pundits than the likes of Monye, Dallaglio et al. We deserve better.
