Quantum of Solace

What a waste of 6 hours. The production team must have spent no time on this at all. As one reviewer put it, it just felt like a bad mod of COD4.

The textures were incredibly amateur and the gameplay repetitive. The ending was a real anti-climax too.

What did you guys think?

Speaking of bond games, does anyone remember the fantastic "Everything or Nothing" for the orig xbox. Gadgets, racing skydiving, and Willem Dafoe. Great game.

man not happy about this
i still will pick it up and use the 7 day return policy
i just wanna hear the bond theme when i am shooting someone
i thought it was goldeneye360 - did u touch multiplayer???????????

It doesn't surprise me in the slightest. Film to game productions are often shite (see LOTR and Star Wars in particular!)

have not heard good things about this game at all would avoid it completely or just rent it out. I also heard that the game is mainly focused on casino royale with only a few mentions of quantum of solace in the game. This leads me to believe they missed a deadline or something for the game to be ready for casino royale worked on it a bit more chucked in a few solace moments and renamed the game to tie in with the quantum of solace movie.

Yeah I played multiplayer. Badly designed maps (apart from the GoldenEye silo remake). Even with 14 people we struggled to find the other team due to bad spawn points. So boring.

Why is so hard to emulate goldeneye on the 64? That was an awsome game. I dont even watch bond, but I loved it. Ive been checking bond reviews since then to see if they finally manage to do it again. not this time, and probably never, ecpecially in the age of the quick buck mentality. Perfect dark on 64 wasnt a bad follow up, but goldeneye was the best. These games had insane replay value, singleplayer and multiplayer. Seriously, in the days before online gaming, goldeneye splitscreen was more fun than alot of modern online games are today. They managed to remake a great zelda on the wii (I know it was its own game but, it was very similar to the 64 game, which is great, and exactly my point) so why not bring back goldeneye!

WTF
there are soo many mixed reports of this game
i dont get it
has cod/gow raised the bar that much that 007 fails to reach - yet would be a great game if cod/gow didnt exist?

Well I have smashed this game and thoroughly enjoyed it
Played it on 007 â€" took me best of 7-8 hours
Then dominated recruit to get some achievements â€" its good fun â€" the next one will be even better â€" its just this edition feels rushed
Online was having a blast too â€" its pretty good, its like rainbow

But then my mate asked me to join him on CoD5 team deathmatch â€" and put a lot of things back to perspective â€" 007 is going back to the shop

CoD5 multiplayer is absolutely stunning

interesting thing is both games made by the same developer one is getting huge marketing push and had a beta while the other has almost the exact opposite. cod 5 is clearly the game expected to be better and it definitely seems to be showing to be the case in terms of sales and talk on the internet.

clearly 007 was rushed to match the movies release - shame really - it was going to be a killer
after the credit its says bond will return - lets hope they have already started and it not based on the next film, but rather an old one - like Goldeneye 360

Goldeneye and World is not enough were fantastic games

but Bonds never recovered. Was there ever a Die Another Day game?

Thats an odd post to make in the gaming section.[/b]

I was looking through the recent posts section and found this. I thought it might be about the film when I clicked on it.

..........and when you realised you were in the wrong place you thought what the hell, and decided to leave us with a wee fart of wisdom. I thankyou. :bravo: :D

Have you played Battle for Middle Earth? I think it's a rather good series. Star Wars KOTOR is also among the best games ever made. But in general i do agree. Films to games and vice versa are usually shite.

* The best one (Goldeneye aside) for me was Peter Jackson's King Kong. What an awesome game that was...

At least the click of a mouse wasn't in vain!
