A mountain of a man, who personified all that is good about rugby and especially European rugby. Leading one of the best European sides to grace the competition.

One of those one club legends.

Thoughts and prayers go out to his family, Friend and the Entirr Munster family.

For those wondering that's 'there is an isle', the song on Axel's club Shannon. Really personal and touching gesture.

RIP Buddy. No coincidence he died on weekend of a competition he loved amongst his brothers.
People saw him at times as a stubborn appearance in the coaches box but from personal experience he was a gent who I can say was always there to help. And I argued this morning in another thread about competitiveness and ambition. Its simply because of guys like Axel.
To The Brave And Faithful. RIP

The news is just so hard to take, when I heard it I had to check RTE radio and website to believe it, I'm in tears as I type this there are so many things I could say about this legend and Munster giant, but now is not the time.
my heartfelt condolences to his family.
RIP Anthony Axel Foley
