I have just purchased a lens with enough reach to get decent match pictures and starting to find my feet.

Any budding amateur sports photographers out there with any tips for shooting rugby specifically? I can't decide what the best focus is either, single point or zone, I'm losing quite a few pictures using zone but I struggle to keep up on single point.

Currently just getting set up roughly to the sides of the sticks with the occasional wander along the touch line for scrums and line outs.

Cheers!

Just updating myself. Still losing quite a few shots but I think this may be down to my Fuji as well as me.

Here are some from today's 2nd and 3rd team action in Sheffield.
