The Movie Thread

Everyone always complains. Man of Steel had great style. Substance matters way more and they haven't done that since the first two Christopher Reeve
CR will always be the best Superman and Clarke Kent. I also liked the Superman Returns, despite it being slow. Routh wasn't a bad Superman, just had a hard act to follow.

I think Singer should have included this scene, which would have improved the movie and given why he went back to Krypton context and why he returned.

It's a shame Returns now has Singer and Spacey ick all over it. I never minded it at all. It still doesn't hit the right heights though.

But your right Reeve is impossible to follow. His body language between Kal-El and Clarke is insane the scenes where he switches back and forth in his performance are perfection. Until someone finds that performance without doing just a homage he'll always be No. 1.

No idea why the Snyder fans think Cavil is No. 1.

Saw the Fall Guy in the week. Really enjoyed it even if it's an action romcom at heart.

Not sure on Aaron Taylor-Johnson in it. Or on him being the next Bond. Then again loved him in Bullet Train.

Looking forward to Furiosa next weekend. Adored Mad Max Fury Road.

Yeah Im nilot convinced for him as Bond butnI dont think it was confirmed so it's likely not him. That just now Bond rumours go everyone acts like a decisions is made then it goes quiet and it builds up over someone else.

They are too young to remember the Reeves ones.

Cavil turned Kal into one with a rugby playing physique.

I didn't mind MoS but I didn't like Snyder's reimagining of Krypton from the Donner's cold, ice like planet to some green lush Avatar planet.

Got rave reviews at Sundance.

Definitely going to be something different.

Barbie, Killers of the Flower Moon, Wonka and Napoleon on flights to and from Japan. All
Enjoyable and great way to catch up on films not caught at the cinema.

yeah...and they all look established....like we're just supposed to know/accept who they are

its what the MCU did really well at the start either introduced or explained by established heros were coming out of the woodwork...and started reasonably small...taking over a company in Iron Man or Cap in WWII...Thor on a personal journey or discovery that doesnt really leave a small town.....not straight in with world ending stuff (man of steel/batman v superman/justice league)

we dont get a real global threat until avengers...where DC seems to have world ending threats straight off....and that might be due to superman being to OP....him fighting anything local seems weird
