Without getting too involved the chances of an away victory this weekend looks rare on the horizon Toulouse seems to be the best placed but this will be no walk over. Points for the teams that could be fighting relegation in a few months are very important during ths World Cup and playing teams who have many missing a definate advantage so, this weekend most of the big teams are at home, Toulouse have not that advantage and it could prove difficult at Pau for them on Sunday.
So i will give Pau the benefit of my doubts and say we will have 7 home wins this weekend.

I fancy Oyo to bounce back, but other than that & possibly Toulouse, its home wins all the way

Yep, home wins for me, except that Stade toulousain may sneak a win against Section paloise, for whom Jean Bouilhou, a former captain of Toulouse and great servant of the club, should be playing.
I would have thought that Stade francais may have won against Montpellier but their list of injured players is as long as your arm, so gaston will sleep peacefully in the knowledge that his beloved MHR should win comfortably!

Stade Francais have not won at Montpellier since 2008 i think, so with or without injuries would be very tough for them, and we have our secret weapon to be reveal
Le XV de départ de Montpellier
: Floch ; Fall, Nagusa, Smith, O'Connor ; (o) Trinh Duc, (m) Paillaugue ; Mowen, Galletier, Timani ; Willemse, Tchale Watchou ; Cilliers, Ivaldi, Watremez.
Les remplaçants: Geli, Van der Merwe, Battut, Liebenberg, White, Lucas, Malzieu, Adriaanse.

Le XV de départ de Paris
: Camara ; Bonneval, Doumayrou, Williams, Sinzelle ; (o) Plisson, (m) Dupuy ; Ugena, Ross, Nicolas ; Vallejos, Gabrillagues ; Emile, Bonfils, Van der Merwe.
Les remplaçants: Panis, Priso Mouangue, Mostert, Sio, Tomas, Bosman, Danty, Melikidze.

Loved the try from Oyonnax where their winger used his right hand to run it down the touch line without being called for a knock on!!!

We had that ref last week (Tranini) and if you watched the match near the end, Azam is heard to say "HE IS GOING TO BE **** JUST TILL THE END" the guy makes very many basic errors which should not happen at this level. We have not enough good refs in fact we have very few. Good win for Castres and Dupont the under 20 scrum half, played out of his skin at 10 he is only 18 yr old and this was a very first for him at 10, does give Castres more options if needed.

And now to dear old Cyril Lafonde at Toulon where the TMO denied RCT a try due to a "knock on" when it was early a LaRoch hand!!!

Very impressed by Dupont who played a blinder at 10 in first half and he is a SH by trade and only 18!
Both teams are known for playing kicking and defensive rugby but not last night. Castres are on their way to becoming an entirely different proposition this season under Urios.

Castres don't need to look for a fly-half. They have found one.

Do you think the French have flair? Do you think that's just a myth.....if so/if not why? Re: France, what's France's positives/negatives?

What would make France make the final........according to you?

Love the look of Tuisova! He has to be an international sooner rather than later!!

Incidentally, did I hear Mullins say that some 10/15 14 year old Fijians have been recruited to French academies? That would mean they will be within the quotas for Top 14 games when they "graduate".

A myth? No. Go back to, I think 1999, when France beat NZ in the semi at Twickenham. They conjured up some wonderful rugby from nowhere to get to the final.
Where has it been since then? It's gone. It's high risk rugby, which few coaches would dare to play, unless there's nothing to lose.
The principle negative of France's game today is selection with the omission from the squad of key players. For example, many rugby fans in France believe that the best half backs, Machenaud and Trinh-Duc, should be in the squad, but no, they've been ditched. OK, one can say that the inclusion of Michalak, who some may describe as a "maverick", is more likely to have a shocker than a good game. Another negative is their unpredictability. They could lose to a lesser team one week and beat NZ the following week, so all teams will think they're in with a shout of winning if they can gain the upper hand and then, sometimes, the French heads will drop.
The positives? Their pack is coming into form at the right time. The competition to be in the first team will be intense and St André will have headaches with who to pick and who to leave out. They have got talented backs, Huget for example is lightning quick, Fofana too.
They should progress to the Q finals. Their most difficult opposition in the pool will be Ireland and I'm sure they will beat Italy next Saturday, who will sadly be without Sergio Parisse.

yes Brive and Clermont have setup academies in Fiji and they haven't done it for the weather. There is going to be more Fiji-born French internationals in years to come. Noa Nakaitaci is the first one of more to come IMO.

haven't had one of these questions in a while :D should there be a FAQ?

What would make France make the final........according to you?
a no show from the opposition?

Tuning in to the 2nd half of Racings game. I see the other matches are looking mighty tasty as well... almst tempted to see if UBB can hang on!

SF as predicted may go down v Montpellier. Their list of injuries to key players is starting to get ridiculous. All meat and drink to Montpellier...
and Bordeaux are leading 20 to 9 at Clermont...

Yeah, I'm holding thumbs for both of the "lsser" teams to help out. Gonna need it as R92 is struggling with Grenoble right now.

Edit; and just then Wisniewski gets a yellow. Hopeflly we can 10 points quickly. Try!!!

Rougerie try. Clermont are back in it. This is Aureliens 89th try of his league career! What a player. His conversion as a centre has worked a treat.

Abendanon try!!! the Jaunard juggernaut is unleashed
23-23 the last 10 could be epic.....
