Last week-end was played the T14 first round:

Albi v Bayonne 24-12
Montauban v Narbonne 41-20
Perpignan v Castres 20-16
Agen v Bourgoin 18-6
Brive v Toulouse 9-24

The Paris team although ridiculous in their new pink jerzey was quite impressive.

I saw the Biarritz-Clermont game repeated on Setanta. I was impressed by Clermont.

I watched it on Canal+ they were good in the first half, dutring the second half when they played against the wind, Biarritz controlled the game more effictively. Their forwards dominated their Clermont counterparts.

Results of the 2nd round:

Montpellier 26-7 Agen
Castres 16-26 Paris
Bourgoin 42- 17 Brive
Bayonne. 9-20 Montauban
Toulouse 23-0 Albi
Narbonne 25-18 Biarritz
Clermont 25 - 12 Perpignan

The current ranking:

1. Paris 9

6. Biarritz 5
7. Agen 4
8. Perpignan 4
9. Albi 4
10. Montpellier 4
11. Narbonne 4
12. Castres 1
13. Bayonne 0
14. Brive 0

Good on Albi and Montauban getting off to strong starts, also for hiring Canadian Internationals. :p

The Canadian international players I've seen this last week-end are Mike James (with a funny moustache) and Cudmore who has been cited by Biarritz. He intentionaly hits Betsen in the face with his elbow in a ruck.

bayone got a 0-54 in the basque derby against biarritz ... what the f*** its a lot, they might be a bit silent there now !!!

Jean-Pierre Ellisale the Japan National coach, father of Jean-Baptiste and forlmer coach of Béziers and la Rochelle has just been named director of Rugby of the Aviron bayonnais.

I saw Toulouse and Biarritz on Sunday. When did Biarritz get so bad? They're seriously in danger of falling out of ***le contention already.

They started training later than the other big guns, they should peak later. Last season they were a bit in trouble when the season started too. Otherwise if they follow playing like last sunday teams like Clermont, Perpignan or Bourgoin should be above them in the league table in addition of course to Paris and Toulouse and then they would not qualify for the SF.

Results:

8th Sept '06
Biarritz - Bourgoin : 12-6

9th Sept '06
Perpignan - Toulouse : 30-17
Montpellier - Narbonne : 33-10
Castres - Clermont : 13-9
Montauban - Brive : 21-20
Agen - Albi : 32-3
Stade Français - Bayonne : 48-29

League table
1- Stade Français 23 pts
2- Perpignan 17 pts
3- Toulouse 17 pts
4- Biarritz 14 pts
5- Montauban 14 pts
6- Agen 14 pts
7- Montpellier 13 pts
8- Bourgoin 12 pts
9- Clermont 11 pts
10- Castres 10 pts
11- Albi 9 pts
12- Brive 6 pts
13- Narbonne 4 pts

Paris had a new and quite original jerzey for their game versus Bayonne:

Well this is the Paris team only which have they unusual jerzeys. This is a way to create buzz and interest. They are quite successful actualy both outside the pitch and inside, they are leading the league at that point in time.

Next saturday there will be the clash of the Stades in Toulouse, it should be great Rugby.

I really am becoming worried about the Top 14 teams...
[/b]

naaaah it's only the jersey but you'll notice their strengh in eurocup when they'll have eliminated a few english team like northampton :) ... if you reach the finals !!!
i know they look like gays with their pink jersey ... but its only an appearance !!! they have a monstruous bench this year.
as donbilly says, its only to be noticed that they have such a colour. so don't be so worry about us, we still have 3 teams able to win the euro cup
