Transfers Rumours

Following their release from Exeter it has been rumoured that Hooker Saul Nelson and Full-back/Wing Sean Marsden will be rejoining Bristol for the 2010-2011 season. There has been a lot of talk about former players returning to help the club as they really liked the club in their 1st spells here

Olyy, it looks like Kyle Tonetti has chosen Sale over Connacht. He is quite a good signing, Leinster lads would know more, but he is a skillful 12 who can play 10. He is a big fella, near enough to 100kg I'd say. Only 23 too. Irish 7's representative, excellent prospect.

Heard that too snoop,
A 1 season deal supposedly and well makes sense for both parties.
And well it seems Duffy will make World Cup Squad and well the step up in class will benefit him and Ireland

It makes sense for Duffy and for Ulster but not for Connacht. With John Muldoon likely out until November, Duffy is Connacht's leader. Losing him would be catastrophic since he's also the only decent full back in their squad.

Timmy Ryan is off to ply his trade at Newcastle. Appaerently he'll be first choice tighthead over there which can't be anything but music to the ears of an Irish fan. While I'm sure the Toulon experiance was good for him, 3 starts in an entire season must have been frustrating as hell. Lets hope he can go some wat toward filling Carl Hayman's rather large boots.

Yea Feic was announced Thursday and well supposedly Toulon were telling Newcastle this guy a beast in the gym etc :D
If it is he is a very different Timmy than man who left Munster - Still a great platform for him to further his career

Well from a national perspective it's good news. At the moment we need all the good tightheads we can get and while Ryan most likely won't be pushing for the WC squad, he could well be an asset in its aftermath. With himself, Buckley and (hopefully) Ross getting regular gametime at TH and Healy, Court and Horan on the other side of the scrum, the propping situation wouldn't look so bad.

Vasya Artemiev who's featured for Russia in the Churchill Cup is on his way to Northampton according to Sky Sports yesterday. He was very highly thought of as a schools player with Blackrock College and earned a spot in the Leinster academy immediately upon reaching school. Northampton could have unearthed a diamond in the rough- he's a terrific attacker.

Sounds awsome, what position?

Wing or fullback. He was a schools star but never really pushed to get into the Leinster matchday squad falling behind the likes of Dave and Rob Kearney, Luke Fitzgerald, Andrew Conway etc. I wish him the best of luck and maybe he can carve out a decent career in England.

Pennycook to join Eves at Falcons

*duh, duh, duh, another one bites the dist*

Good signing for Falcons, Redford has potential aswell as the talent he is showing already. If he has a good year then I wouldnt be at all surprised to see him make the Saxons for next years Churchill Cup.

AND This is getting silly

from http://www.thisisbristol.co.uk/sport/Bristol-trio-set-exit-club/article-2328073-detail/article.html

"Bristol are set to confirm this week that Alex Clarke, Mat Turner and Josh Brown are among a second batch of players to leave the club and top players such as Iain Grieve and Tom Arscott are still to decide on their futures – but expect to know by the end of this week whether or not they will be at the club next season."

Speculation on the Ospreys forum has linked the Williams brothers Paul and Gavin with us. But those lot are a bunch of dickheads these days, so who knows.

What's he like snoop or do you know much about him. Connacht need alot of steel if they are to be even competitive. The loss of Muldoon and Duffy is massive and well Elwood really is up against it now
